Consumer Bail out
Consumer Bail out
I'm getting pissed bout all the money given away that we don't have. I'm not very politically savy, but this looks like a classic case of politicians bribing us with our own money so we don't vote them out of office, or kill them.
Starting to think the latter may be the best option. We've not had a good ole fashioned "revolution" in quite a while. Thin the herd and get back to basics.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

They've been buying votes with entitlement programs for 50 years, D. Why should NOW be any different?D1B wrote:I'm getting pissed bout all the money given away that we don't have. Fukc I don't know. That we've been coddled for 50 years and now no longer have the capacity/will to pay it back. We're hurting our children's future. Banking is now an entitlement program, we're now bailing out the wealthy.AZGrizFan wrote:They've been buying votes with entitlement programs for 50 years, D. Who is going to step up and say "Look, you knuckleheads fukced up and now you have to suffer. You have no one to blame but yourself. Do not look to us to solve all your problems. Get to work and make some money, cuz we aint gonna help you no more. We all will have to sacrifice. Now get off your lazy, distracted asses and DO SOMETHING!!!"
McCain nor Obama even approached the concept of sacrifice. It was essentially a battle of who could promise the most and at the same time expect the less.

Yes. It was painfully obvious that BOTH candidates were afraid to actually step up to the plate during the campaign and tell the world what it NEEDED to hear. Both were more interested in saying what the people WANTED to hear. We'll bail you out. We'll buy your mortgages. We'll save the industry. We'll socialize the country.D1B wrote:Fukc I don't know. We're fcuked. We've started down a slippery slope from which there's no going back. We're firmly in phase 6 of the collapse of our country. There's even a Russian economist who believes that the US of A will split into multiple countries by the END OF 2010!!

That's funny. It'd be a civil war, but for a whole different reason. Whatever happens, I do NOT want to be in the same country as California!!!Appaholic wrote:Enter Citdog in 5....4......3....2...AZGrizFan wrote: Yes. Re: Consumer Bail out
Well, when Kalifornia makes private ownership of ANYTHING illegal, dont' say I didn't warn YOU. They are as close to a communist, nanny state as we've got in this country. I want NOTHING to do with that state.dbackjon wrote:OK Tommie. But with Utazona makes Beer sales illegal, don't say I didn't warn your ass.

I agree. I hate to go Darwin on this, but we're playing with fire by supporting the stupid and lazy. The tail is now wagging he dog. We don't need a bailout, we need to allow Darwin's beautiful laws free reign.AZGrizFan wrote:Yes. China, economically, is going down with us! giving more rights to illegal aliens than you and I have is BS. Letting people sue because they made someone cover up a shirt is BS.
"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801
