Wikipedia is currently out, some other websites are actively against it...
What if this will pass? Most of the content out there on the Internet will all be gone in a flash. Oh well, there might go my obsession with US sports as well.

If these abortions pass congress, then all US troops need to be removed from the middle east and deployed to Hollywood.

No way. Hollywood doesn't have any greater access to D.C. than the rabble. Both parties in congress realized this much needed legislation on their own. Right TTBF?

And, unfortunately our Supreme Court has ruled that corporations are people... so the Hollywood and Silicon Valley corporations can pump as much money as they want to get legislation like this... that barely anyone actually supports.

Actually, almost all of the push is coming from the MPAA and RIAA. I guess the folks in Silicon Valley are smart enough to come up with their own solutions and that the SOPA and PIPA are bad ideas.

But Wiki still provides links to info about SOPA and PIPA.
I still have my vintage 1911 Britannica, so I'm OK!

My porn is safe, Graddy. The videos on tube sites routinely credit from whence the video came, so no issue there. They provide those videos to the tube site running them as advertisement for their own site, just like in the mainstream world. Sometimes I just love Capitalism!!!!!!

Well, yes and no. Some of the really big porn companies are behind the tube sites but they also allow pirated material to help drive their smaller competitors out of the market. Also, much of the tube content is produced in eastern Europe, so they can get away with it without fear of litigation from Slavic pornographers.

400 some major companies have come out supporting it, as has the US Chamber of Commerce.

zzzz... seriously?
Hollywood doesn't have any greater access than the rest of corporate America...
however - if you noticed today in response to one hell of a groundswell from "the rabble" two Senators bailed out on the bill and two Reps did too... the bill has very little chance of passing, and Obama has said he opposes it.

Obama has said he opposes it.
And Obama also said he opposed parts of the NDAA and look what happened there.

Anonymous downs government, music industry sites in largest attack ever
Hacktivists with the collective Anonymous are waging an attack on the website for the White House after successfully breaking the sites for the FBI, Department of Justice, Universal Music Group, RIAA and Motion Picture Association of America.
In response to today’s federal raid on the file sharing service Megaupload, hackers with the online collective Anonymous have broken the websites for the FBI, Department of Justice, Universal Music Group, RIAA, Motion Picture Association of America and Warner Music Group.
“It was in retaliation for Megaupload, as was the concurrent attack on Justice.org,” Anonymous operative Barrett Brown tells RT on Thursday afternoon.
...
Brown adds that “more is coming” and Anonymous-aligned hacktivists are pursuing a joint effort with others to “damage campaign raising abilities of remaining Democrats who support SOPA.”
