The Dems will never pass up an opportunity to commit election fraud.

We saw the same thing in MT a couple years back from the conks. Petition signature gatherers were copying names out of phonebooks and forging the signatures.

Exactly. Without petition fraud you can't HAVE voting fraud. :kisswink:

Which costs Americans more money (since you worship it): Bank fraud or election fraud?

You are looking at two very different processes. When voting you are dealing with trained and certified Election Judges sanctioned by the state. Some form of ID is required to vote in every state, though this varies across the country.

When you are signing a petition you are dealing with some Joe Schmoe off the street who might not even be a resident in your state depending on state law.

If we want to get down and dirty. The thousands of people who sign petitions and are not legally registered voters, but have ID if it was required, or accidentally sign a petition twice should be brought before the courts. Not gonna happen.

"A person who purposefully signs a name other than the person's own to this petition, who signs more than once for the same issue at one election, or who signs when not a legally registered Montana voter is subject to a $500 fine, 6 months in jail, or both." MCA 13-27-204

Don't give me another id to carry around. My STATE ISSUED drivers license should be sufficient. IF you don't need to drive a state issued ID card should be sufficient. I know some will say, "It's like the Nazi's making everyone have papers..." but it doesn't compare.

There is NO tangible, widespread voter fraud in the U.S. The tiny minority that exists are all drunk Conk Vietnam vets.

So the Dems are willing to commit one kind of fraud, but not the other? Right.

I guess the real question here is if you should be required to show an ID when you sign a petition? If so, what is acceptable. If it is a drivers license/state ID, does your state require you to pay for that ID?

With the fraudulent election of Barry Sortero and the resulting $5 trillion increase in our national debt ---the answer is officially election fraud now.

This is why we need voter picture ID.

We = partisan Republicans.

What is meant here is not the need for voter picture ID, but simply more regulations to create hurdles for those who register voters. Steep fines for submitting voter registrations that are more than 48 hours old has slowed the pace of new voter registrations to the tune of over 80,000 so far in Florida compared to the same time period four years ago.

So yeah, partisan Republicans need to restrict new voters, and voting in general to give them a chance this November, you see more and more people are switching to independent, and most new registrations are either independent or Democrats, so it makes all the sense in the world.

"We" should also included Independents as well. I'm an Independent and I've been in support of picture ID to vote ever since we moved and I found out my wife was still listed in three different polling places, legally, as a valid voter. If either of us were nefarious, she could've voted 3 times that day and no one would have been the wiser.

When an independent study says at least 12% of the voting rolls are incorrect, it's sad that the two parties can't realize that that is a problem and we should correct it. There's a good reason so many of us are declaring Independent - you partisans on both sides of the aisle are kinda unsavory. :coffee:

Like the bloated, ineffective military and the obscene oil industry? How about ranchers and their unabated rape of federal lands? How big is the corporate trough, Milo?

It's a hurdle to have to vote, but a picture ID is required to get a job, frickin hurdles, no wonder unemployment is so high.

You can politicize it all you want, but in Minnesota both the Donks and Conks have a version of photo id on the table. Too many precints with more votes than registered voters.

Smoke and mirrors, Wedgie. I'm surprised at you, you're smarter than that. This is straight off MSNBC.

You have to have picture ID to initialize SS benefits, use a WIC card at the grocery store, collect AFDC and other welfare benefits. Heck, you have to have picture ID to cash a check as well as drive a car.

If the right was trying to disenfranchise the people you claim, then they are going about it in a pretty futile way. Minorities and the poor have to show ID for a LOT of things.

Why is the left arguing against this? After all, it will put a stop to the rampant right wing voter fraud alleged above in Montana (why would the right need to commit voter fraud in Montana??!?) and then the Black Panthers won't feel the need to camp out at polling sites.
