Black will not be asked to get back. (Black = good)
Brown can stick around. (Brown = good)
Yellow will be mellow. (Yellow = good)
Red man can get ahead man. (Red = good)
And White will embrace what is right. (White = bad)

Phuck U Rev.
If you can't beat'em, you lost!

I have a problem with the statement by the Rev. After thinking a little bit about it this afternoon, the problem is that I think his comments, and those directed at any racism of the past, is meant for a generation and time I am not and have never been a part of. For guys like me, it is unfortunate we have to listen to it as things like this. The rubbing it in our faces is only angering people not helping mend fences.

i can see your point. I guess I am old enough to see it differently - I witnessed it first hand being the only white guy on a track team - the harassment, bottles being thrown, slurs, etc as we would go through certain neighborhood on training runs.

I agree that was something that would have worked about 40 years ago (god I'm getting old) but it really didn't work very well today.

I grew up with all that going on, though my podunk town didn't have those issues, I saw it on TV (B&W too).
