According to Feinstein military vets shouldn't be allowed to own the firearms that would be banned because they might have PTSD, which according to her didn't exist before the Iraq war...
She must be as dumb as that donk congressman with the island might tip over comment.

You've seen the video of the congressman who was concerned about Guam tipping over, haven't you?

Did you type this from your fortified prepper pit in your backyard. Shivering in fear, sucking thumb and clutching gun?

Crazy ass conks.

All the other stuff aside, she's a dumb kitty if she really thinks PTSD is a recent thing.
Hopefully veterans groups break it off in her ass over this. She's never been a friend of the military.

Frankly I put an asterisk by anything that come out of the fields of psychology and psychiatry. I wouldn't even assume that PSTD exists.
It's not like saying someone has cancer where you do a biopsy and look at the cells. Everything in the fields of psychiatry and psychology is soft.

I know a well adjusted guy who went away to Iraq and came back changed. Constantly twitching, eyes constantly shifting, strung out.

John, I agree that a lot of psychology and psychiatry are soft. I also agree that there are thousands of veterans that got bullshit PTSD diagnoses just to obtain various benefits.
That being said, PTSD as a phenomenon is very, very real.

Agree with both of you. There's a lot of quackery in psychiatry and psychology but for the most part PTSD isn't ambivalent ground. It's pretty serious stuff.

I need to stop reading when this fucking retard talks about psycology/mental health.
Being married to a counselor, and have multiple friends who have served overseas I can promise you it's real. Find someone that served in 'nam and just sneak up on them like a enemy would have and watch what they do.
Shit, doesn't even have to be war related. There are a ton of people who have been in serious car accidents that don't want to get in cars....TBH was in a serious accident in HS going around a curve in a road, to this day (10-11 years later) if I'm driving and I take a curve even a touch to quick for her she locks up. It's very real.

I need to stop reading when this **** retard talks about psycology/mental health.
Being married to a counselor, and have multiple friends who have served overseas I can promise you it's real. Find someone that served in 'nam and just sneak up on them like a enemy would have and watch what they do.
No. That's not the way you would do it if you were to try to find out if it is real. To find out if it's real you would talk to people while making sure there was no way you would know if they were in a war or not, etc., and see if you saw something you could measure that said there is an indentifiable disorder.
When it comes to physical disorders there are hard, concrete diagnostic tools. Like if someone is vomitting and has the runs you can take a stool sample. And let's say you identify norovirus in the stool sample. Then you know they had gastroenteritis caused by norovirus infection. There are hard and fast, unequivocal symptoms such as throwing up uncontrollably and repeatedly and there is a pathogen identified in the stool that accounts for it. NOTHING in psychology or psychology is like that. It's a "soft" science.

You know I hadn't thought about that in the context of this discussion but the pronoucements of the fields of psychology and psychiartry on the issue of homosexuality are indeed further evidence of how little credibility those fields have.
Or it'd better to say
should have. They do have credibility in terms of perceptions within the population. But they shouldn't. The confidence is misplaced.

Yeah, Obama was beating the conks so bad that the donks lost 6 Senate seats and lost the House in 10' while losing 63 seats.
The 14' midterm will prove who's beating who...
