You've made my point perfectly. Pelosi hasn't shut her yap for 4 years, but you "don't know enough about her to decide". Palin's been on the national scene for 5 MONTHS. You just haven't been listening to Pelosi. If you had, you'd have reached the same conclusion dbackjon and most other sane liberals have reached. She's an embarrassment to the country and a farce as our majority leader.

I will agree it's silly to say 500 million. Wouldn't that mean NO ONE is working at some point. Meh. It's silly on all sides. The biggest thing I want to stay in the stimulus is the work on the Mississippi. A lot of flooding could have been avoided had the Army Corps of Engineers had money to shore up the levees BEFORE flooding.

I don't think the package is perfect--but something's gotta give.

Besides, messing with Mother Nature is NOT economic stimulus...it's pork barrel, helping folks who won't help themselves (DON'T LIVE IN AN F'in FLOOD PLAIN)
