In this land of equality, liberty, and justice. It has to be so because I said so.
If you don't agree, lick my butt.

Consider your butt licked. (I ain't doing it, It is more like proverbial thing -no homo intended)
My copy of the Constitution says nothing about it, other than the right to life. I figure that means the government can't end a person's life; not that it has an obligation to keep a person alive.
Go ahead and flame me.

No flames. Just submitting that health care falls under the heading of Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Happiness. Heavy on the life part and not to mention the pursuit, etc.
Problem is as I look at it, health care is profit driven, in other words "greed" fueled. When it comes to the point that fewer and fewer can afford any insurance plan that makes sense at all, then health care becomes only available to the wealthy, and more "elective" and advanced procedures as well.. When Dr. Hasheesh Jakarri tells you that you have to die because your major med limit will not begin to cover your triple transplant, how might you want to react?
I don't see any great outcomes from that prospect. Only discourse and revolt.

Wedgie, just tell that guy to go to the FREE clinic. It's not like we don't have free or low cost medical coverage here already.

OK, I agree with you Wedgie...you quote one of the greatest documents in our Nations history, and I agree with your POV...
So, now, the other great document in our Nations History is the Constitution, which lists the responsibilities of the federal government, and in the 10th Amendment adds, "
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Hmmmmmm, there's no mention of providing health care in the responsibilities of the federal government listed in the U.S. Constitution...and I'm sure you would not want to violate this great document, since if you choose to ignore one part, I get to choose another part...and so on, and so on...
So, I agree with you on health care...them damn states better start raising the money to pay for it...but the federal government won't (if I have anything to do with it)...

The 10th amendment, the most important amendment IMO........and the one most compromised and cast aside....

I know and it sickens me. To know that a liberal cocksucking piece of shit like barack obama cares nothing about the innocent unborn and is willing to use hard working folks money to fund it eats at me to no end, but I will have the last laugh when his day comes, hard and swift!!!!!!!!

The 10th Amendment is the most important Appa, and you're right how much it is compromised all the time. I should not have to pay for someone health care any more than I should pay for their retirement. But, the federal government has already fcuked us on that, why not this too. It's very quickly becoming evident than an armed revolt is the only answer.

VA hospitals are federal health care. Remind us of how glorious they're doing?

After Bush cut the funding to them, but sent tens of thousands of new patients to them through his folly, not too well.

They have NEVER done well Jon. The latest "folly" just highlighted the disaster known as government-provided health care.

Fukc government health care. You work hard, live smart and make good decisions - you survive. If you don't, you die. We have enough people on the planet.
Invaribly those who would be on the government tab would be the fukcs who smoke, eat too much, have diabetes, the lazy and fukcheads who sue everyone.
What the government should be doing is encouraging healthy living.
