I'd feel safe, only 1.7% of the victims are white.

Anti-violence programs shut down as Chicago shootings climb
CHICAGO (AP) — Captured in a documentary that brought national attention to Chicago's violence, Operation CeaseFire deployed former gang members and felons to intervene in feuds that too often ended in fatal gunfire on the city's streets.
Now that operation has become another casualty in the financial meltdown enveloping Illinois, even as the city still struggles to stop shootings.
Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner froze money for CeaseFire, featured in the 2011 documentary "The Interrupters," as Illinois began running out of money because Democrats passed a budget that spent billions more than the state took in. The program was cut off before receiving all of the $4.7 million it was budgeted last fiscal year, and it has gotten no state funding this year as the fight between Rauner and Democrats who lead the Legislature drags on and several programs in Chicago and elsewhere in Illinois shut down.

You can really see how draconian gun laws help keep people safe.

170 out of 406 are head shots. I like that stat. If you are going to do it, do it right.
Hand guns of any type are illegal here in Baltimore City too. But the fucking police don't keep track of musket killing compared to Kentucky long rifles. WTF!?!

Democrats allow Dwyane Wade's cousin to be fatally shot pushing baby in stroller
CHICAGO (AP) — NBA star Dwyane Wade's cousin was shot and killed in Chicago while pushing her baby in a stroller near a school where she intended to register her children. Wade took to Twitter to lament what he called another "act of senseless gun violence."
Her family said Nykea Aldridge, 32, had recently relocated to the area on the city's South Side. Chicago police said she was killed Friday when two males walked up and fired shots at a third man but hit Aldridge in the head and arm. She wasn't the intended target, police said.
Family members are caring for the baby, who wasn't hurt. Police said Friday evening that they were questioning witnesses in the shooting but had no suspects in custody.
Wade, a native of Chicago who signed with the Chicago Bulls in July after 13 years with the Miami Heat, posted on Twitter: "My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal. #EnoughISEnough."
