Election Day 2013

Got my vote in early this morning here in Virginia. Polling place opened at 6am and I was back in my car at 6:10am. There was a guy in a "volunteer" shirt outside handing out "sample ballots". I looked at the ballot and it had all the republican candidates in bold with their bubble filled in and all the dems and others in faint text that could barely be seen.

This was my first time voting in VA and it was weird to have to fill in bubbles on a scan sheet. I'm used to Delaware having a voting booth with a touchscreen.

Anywho, I voted all Republican this time. Terry McAuliffe is such a tool and the Dems need to feel the wrath of Obamacare. I'm sure Cuccinelli will lose anyway as McAsshole has outspent him 10-1 on TV ads, but I did my part.

Very disappointed in you - you voted for Cooch, who is to the right of Jerry Falwell, and for the Lt Gov candidate, who makes Cooch look like a moderate.

Both want to make homosexuality illegal.

No one cares, dback. Having multiple wives is illegal...why don't you complain about that?

I don't want one wife, let alone multiple.

So if you don't like it, it should be illegal. Got it. :thumb:

I will be heading to the ballot counting center at 12 today. Probably there until 1 or 2 am running mailed in ballots. Should be a fun day.

No. I don't have the day off, we only get federal elections off. My boss is also the elections administrator. She asked me to work the elections. I get my normal pay plus OT.

I voted about an hour ago. There was a decent turnout at my polling station which was nice to see. Now I have the rest of the day off to catch up on things I'm behind in.

McAullife wants to make guns illegal, which is a more important issue to me.

We use touch screens in Prince William County...I love that they give you a pencil with a big eraser on it because "it's easier to accurately vote and does no damage" to the touch screen..,

This isn't Florida...there are no hanging chads...

We did vote the same way...

That's the thing, and I think Dback knows from my posts. I'm pro homo. It's just that I'm even more pro gun. I'm all for gays having the same rights as everyone else.

Shooting is my #1 (and just about only) hobby. Banning guns, particularly the ones I like to shoot, would have a great impact on my quality of life. It would be like the government banning golf for a golfer. Or to relate to the posters on this board, banning football.

Dback, please let me know when a pro homo candidate comes along who doesn't want to ban guns. I'll lend them my support!

Well I too am off to do my civic duty although it is quite embarrassing that in a state of over 8 million people these are the 3 candidates from which we have to chose. With that in mind I will be proudly casting my ballot for ME!

And I don't know in which backwater 93henfan lives but here in Norfolk we have been doing the touchscreen thing for well over a decade. And the only thing Norfolk is in the forefront of is the back of the line.

I just noticed in the final poll that the libertarian candidate is getting 8 percent of the vote while McAuliffe has a 6-point lead. Donk douche wins because Coochi can't STFU about the social issues.
