I think that threat will be more than enough to convince them to take the stimulus (not that they are going to anyway, they are just pounding there chests trying to position themselves for 2012).

Had a family member who served with the Police Auxilary in Greensboro back during Jesse's days at A&T....he always took pride for busting Jesse in the head during a police break up of a Civil Rights March....I would be more proud had he kicked his ass in a bar fight, but to each their own I guess...

Did he set the dogs and water hose on him as well?

Breaking up civil rights demonstrations is not something to be particularly proud of...

Naw man, just breaking up an "unlawful gathering" that was choking up downtown traffic near Woolworth's, where the Sit-Ins started...think it was a march commemorating the anniversery of the Sit-Ins....and I agree, not something to be terribly proud of in this day & age, but that shows you the generational differences inherent regarding this issue....

So in a way your uncle is responsible for Jesse - had they let them protest peacefully, JJ would not have gotten the street cred he did.

Civil Rights are civil rights, and should be the same regardless.
