"What I'm hoping is that, yes, that person may have AIDS, have it seriously as a baby and when they grow up, but the mother will begin to feel guilt as a result of that," he said. "The family will see the negative consequences of that promiscuity and it may make a number of people over the coming years begin to realize that there are negative consequences and maybe they should adjust their behavior."
--Sen. Dave Schultheis of Colorado Springs
Yes! Let's wish fatal diseases on babies to cause guilt to the mother as a consequence for "promiscuous" behavior! Sheesh!
I just might have found someone worse than Steve King...damn.

Focus on the Family = pure example of christian violence, intolerance, ignorance, detachment from reality, lack of compassion and hatred of humanity.
Christians everwhere shoulder the blame for groups like this and the Phelps ilk. Their silence in publicly rejecting them is deafening.

Agreed, and that Dobson cocksvcker has had the ear of every president since Nixon, including Clinton.
Religion, as we know it, is disappearing, slowly but surely. For this we can rejoice.

"People are entitled to their opinions," the Grand Junction Republican said. "It's not my job to go around and censor people and tell them what to say."
Ultimately it is up to the voters in their districts.

As a Christian, Dobson and his ilk are jokes. The first thing you're taught is that God loves everyone...if you believe that to be true, you should too. This is ridiculous. I'm sick of people trying to legislate morality. It's not effective, it's not right, and it's not biblical.
