SURPRISE!!!

Obama Lied.

After reiterating throughout his campaign, and even after being elected, his firm belief in the right of American's to possess firearms...even stating that there would be, "...no effort to restrict American's Second Amendment rights..." on Wednesday, POS Anti-American Eric Holder, masquerading as an Attorney General, announced it was the Obama's Administration plan to reinstitute the failed Assault Weapons Ban.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=6960824&page=1
Now, however, when faced with overwhelming statistical research that PROVED that the prior 10 year ban had no effect reducing firearm crime (http://www.sas.upenn.edu/jerrylee/resea ... al2004.pdf ...a study by UPenn done in 2003 prior to the 2004 expiration, with the expectation that it would prove the ban had REDUCED use of Assault Weapons by criminalS, but rather, proved that CRIMINALS COULD STILL OBTAIN ASSAULT WEAPONS AND CONTINUED TO USE THEM AT THE SAME RATE AS BEFORE THE BAN), POS Anti-American Eric Holder fabricates a lie about U.S. sales of so-called "assault weapons" contributing to the Drug Cartel violence in Mexico!!!!!!!!

SAY WHAT??

Yes, POS Anti-American Eric Holder now is alluding that the failure of the U.S. to prevent "resident", I.D. required sales of semi-automatic weapons is fueling the Drug-v-Police/Governement war in Mexico...

(Pssst...POS...climb up out of your rabbit hole for a minute. Come closer...closer...

"EVERY DEVELOPED NATION (RUSSIA, U.S., CHINA, BRAZIL, FRANCE, CZECHOSLOVAKIA) HAS BEEN SHIPPING MILITARY GRADE, SELECTIVE FIRE AND FULL AUTOMATIC FIREARMS TO CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES
FOR DECADES!!!!!!!!"

Image

But no, POS Anti-American Eric Holder is going to suggest that those full automatic weapons the cartel thugs use to murder the police are converted semi-automatic firearms lawfully purchased in the U.S., undoubtedly at a gun show, by a card carrying NRA member, driving a gas guzzler, who then takes the firearm home, pays a lawless gunsmith several hundred or thousand dollars to convert it to a selective fire or full auto weapon, then smuggles the weapon into Mexico to sell to Drug Cartel soldiers.

Image

I've gotta hand it to Obama for assembling a diverse cabinet complete with a severely mentally retarded AG...

...either that, or Holder's a bald faced liar trying to subvert the constitution, in which case he should be removed as AG and tried for sedition.

I will get out the checkbook. $1,000 to NRA-ILA, and come 2010, $2000 in $500 checks to the opponents of the three democrat congressmen (people...one is Doris Matsui) in my area. The message needs to be clear and unequivocal: Everytime anyone in Washington votes or acts to restrict any Amendment, their days of government employment will come to an end.

So you donated to everyone one's opponent that voted for the Patriot Act?

Shizzam! Exactly--everyone who voted for the PATRIOT Act should be out of office.

I never donated to Bush. Not in 2000 or 2004. You know my last name..."Redmeat" it and confirm it. McCain spoke in Senate hearings about restricting the scope of the Executive Branch to the pre-Patriot Act FISA level, but Congress never acted on it. I donated to McCain...several times...in 2000 and 2008.

I do thank you however, dbackTod, as your attempt to hijack the thread and divert attention once again away from another Democrat's lies and Anti-American actions, validates my thread's assertion.

Actually, whether you agree with this or not, Obama did not lie. He said in his campaign this is exactly what he was going to propose.

To a certain degree I suspect you may be right. Obama's handlers, Axelrod and Podesta are graduates of the "shakedown" school of politics. Stir the pot, align the supporters and opponents, fleece them for donations, then pass some diluted worthless bill declaring the "problem solved". Hizhonor King Willie Brown really mastered the art and mentored some of the Dem's now permanently back east...Tony Coelho and Leon Pannetta to name a couple (not saying the Chi-town poli's don't know how that "game" is played...).

I also noticed the Dems released a few other "bombshells" yesterday within the content of their revised appropriations budget...defunding abstinence only education, removing regulatory language which prohibited application of the fairness doctrine, elimination of the "Mexico" policy against abortion funding, and adding language which would allow use of federal funds to pay for same-sex marriage health benefits.

Not sure why it was all done on the same day, other than to ameliorate the political impact.

No one is talking about the other crap.

Plus, rumor has it that Rahm Emmanuel gets 25% of all NRA donations in the next 30 days

Ummm...according to his Campaign website, the only "promise" he made in regards to Gun Control was repeal of the Tiahrt Amendment, which had blocked certain L.E. agencies access to gun registration records.

Repeatedly, when questioned about the Assault Weapons ban, he dodged the issue and stated he did not support banning firearms. In 1998, while running for state legislature, Obama responded to a questionairre that he supported banning the sale or transfer of all semi-automatic weapons, and in 2004, in a U.S. Sentate candidate debate with Alan Keyes, stated he believed allowing the 1993 Assault Weapons ban to expire was a mistake...

...yet, I've never seen him publish a policy statement, nor directly state, during the campaign that intended on re-instating the Assault Weapons ban.

Don't forget...I voted for him in the primary...partly because he took a neutral stance on gun control. Had I known he was lying, I'd probably have written in Nader.

Pelosi throws cold water on weapons ban
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tossed cold water on the prospect of reinstating the assault weapons ban, highlighting Democrats’ reluctance to take on gun issues.

Attorney General Eric Holder raised the prospect Wednesday that the administration would push to bring back the ban. But Pelosi (D-Calif.) indicated on Thursday that he never talked to her. The Speaker gave a flat “no” when asked if she had talked to administration officials about the ban.

“On that score, I think we need to enforce the laws we have right now,” Pelosi said at her weekly news conference. “I think it's clear the Bush administration didn’t do that.”

Seems like a nuance, but Obama did indeed have a staunch anti-gun voting record prior to advancing to Washington. After 2004, however, his position softened drastically, and during the election, virtually dropped all talk of any 2nd Amendment restrictions or agenda's. In my book, if the guy publishes a statement and verbally repeats he has no intention of enacting any gun bans, then appoints some POS Anti-American as AG who, as soon as the ink on his appointment papers are dry, announces a gun ban...under the auspice of carrying out the President's policy...I gotta believe that either Obama is a liar or Holder is simply a retrobate.

Based on Hillary's "guns and bibles" reaction in the primaries, it's possible the Dem handlers FINALLY figured out that going against gun ownership was a guaranteed way of ensuring 50 to 150 million in campaign contributions AGAINST THEM, not too mention mobilizing one of the most well oiled political action machines in the U.S. (I'm sure I've written several hundred letters, a few more hundred emails, and made an equal number of phone callsjust in the past decade.)

...think of me as the dback of 2nd Amendment rights.

Oh, yeah...and my son is ALSO a life member of NRA.

And so will my grandson.

The philosopher Hobbes was astute to observe that when the separation of powers does not exist, it falls upon the sovereign people to control civil, military, judicial and ecclesiastical powers. We are not there, yet, but with the Democrat party leaders pushing censorship, gun confiscation, nationalized banking, state run healthcare, suppression of religious speech, and gerrymandering to ensure continuity of the power, their intent is crystal clear.

He is the lowest of the low. I hope "change" was worth it America.

You really shouldn't. I throw away my share of this and that, don't get me wrong, but I never throw one away without reading it first. It takes 2 minutes to open it up and see what is going on.
