Yaaaawwwwn.
The latest findings, released Friday, come from the declassified two-year investigation of the House Intelligence Committee, which conducted an exhaustive probe into the incident, including claims that the White House cooked up phony talking points for then-UN Ambassador Susan Rice.
The report did find that the State Department was unable to protect the facility in eastern Libya where Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed, but also contradicts many of the charges leveled at the Obama administration in the days and years following the attacks.
Among its findings, the report says CIA personnel responded not just well, but heroically; that there was no "stand down" order, as some critics have claimed; there was no intimidation of witnesses by superiors; there was no intelligence failure prior to the attack; and that a "mixed group" of individuals, including some linked to al Qaeda, participated in the attack.
But perhaps the most significant conclusion is its finding that Rice's talking points -- a key focus of the Benghazi Select Committee empaneled by House Speaker John Boehner -- were not part of an attempt to conceal the severity of the incident.
According to the report, early intelligence that the attacks were sparked by an Internet video was "not accurate," but not intentionally so. And the report holds that the process that produced Rice's now-infamous talking points was flawed, resulting in errors rather than deliberate lies. Indeed, the report determined that the CIA had not sorted out the conflicting intelligence until two days after Rice appeared on television claiming the attacks stemmed from a protest.

Like who? I'm not aware that anyone who gave public testimony in Congress who claimed to be in country that night, was proven not to be there.
There is plenty of public testimony from Panetta and Petraus that refutes the conclusion of this report.
I imagine that fuckstick Boehner told the cmte to wrap it up because he has other priorities.
There are still too many unanswered questions. If you weren't a Dem hack and looked at events in Benghazi and Washington that night with any objectivity, you'd know that.

The Benghazi Witch Hunt Committee was lead by Republicans, including Michelle Bachmann, Peter King and Mike Rogers. So, you’d expect them to have delivered some pretty juicy talking points for Fox News. But alas, the talking points they delivered weren’t exactly the kind of points Roger Ailes was willing to talk about. Mostly because they wound up debunking practically every claimcc made by Fox and Benghazi conspiracy theorists.
The investigation found that there was:
no “intelligence failure”
no delay in sending a CIA rescue team
no undue delay or missed opportunity to send military rescue
no time to plan and execute a military rescue
no evidence the CIA was sending arms to Syria from Libya
In short: There was no credibility or truth to a single claim made by Fox’s talking heads.
So, how did Fox choose to handle this little two-year snafu of screaming lies and hyperbole? By not mentioning it. Instead, this is the entire report on the House Committee findings, delivered by White House correspondent Ed Henry (sitting in for Bret Baier) on Friday evening:
“The House Intelligence Committee says the initial assessment of the Benghazi terror attacks two years ago, that they were in fact terrorist in nature, was accurate,” Henry reported. “It says CIA and Obama administration officials later supported the incorrect scenario that the attacks were motivated by an internet video and stuck with that for several days
But that wasn’t quite it. In a grand stroke of irony, Fox turned to that hated globalist institution, the United Nations. A report issued by the UN says that the attack was carried out by Al Qaeda, which “contradicts strenuous denials by the Obama administration.”
And this is the way Benghazi ends.
Not with a bang, but a whimper.
Then a smile, and a shrug, and then the next lie. The hollow lunatics running Fox Asylum have far more work ahead.

and released by only two cmte. members. It was not released the approval of the cmte chairman, who probably wasn't even aware of it until it became news.
