Rumsfeld is complicit if he disagreed and stayed on board to oversee the invasion. If you think it's wrong or misguided, then you throw a fit, and if you're overruled by the CiC, then you resign.

What a douche. Fucking neocon jewbag.

Meanwhile, the CiC is backtracking again on his commitment to leave Iraq, adding another 500 troops to the 3,000 he already re-deployed plus another base.
US President Barack Obama is reportedly preparing to approve the deployment of more US troops to Iraq to train up local forces fighting Islamic State.
He is considering up to 500 additional troops as well as a new training base in Iraq's Anbar province, unnamed US officials were quoted as saying.

“I don’t think our troops ought to be used for what’s called nation building.”

“Five days or five months, but it certainly isn’t going to last longer.”

01/10/2003, Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense
“… something under $50 billion for the cost. How much of that would be the U.S. burden, and how much would be other countries, is an open question.”

03/16/2003, Dick Cheney, Vice President
“My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators. . . . I think it will go relatively quickly, . . . [in] weeks rather than months.”

03/27/2003, Paul Wolfowitz, Deputy Defense Secretary
“There’s a lot of money to pay for this … the oil revenues of that country could bring between $50 and $100 billion over the course of the next two or three years…We’re dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively soon.”

03/30/2003, Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense
“We know where they are [Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction]. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.”

09/10/2006, Dick Cheney, Vice President
“If we had to do it over again we would do exactly the same thing.” Q: Exactly the same thing? Cheney: Yes, Sir.

Rummy is playing Monday morning QB and writing revisionist history to distance himself from the Iraq war and try to preserve a legacy. He was neck deep in it then, and should at least acknowledge his involvement and support at the time. That's a bit much to ask of a politician, however. :coffee:

I don't disagree with your premise, G8, but, "preserve his legacy"?

What a great insight. Yeah, the weapons are either to the north, south, east or west of the Tikrit and Baghdad. :dunce:

Gotta hand to hand it to our war criminals. :thumb:

Bomb them to the Stone Age at taxpayer expense and then have them hire you to rebuild their country at taxpayer expense. The lower class supplies the blood and treasure and the elite psychopaths make money from both sides. Divide and conquer.
