This crap of throwing all principles pertaining to the rights of the accused out the window when women accuse men of rape or sexual assault has got to stop. The lawsuit is also likely to further fuel an ongoing debate about the tough new standards on sexual assault adopted by colleges and universities under federal government pressure, standards that many legal scholars believe violate the rights of those accused of sexual misconduct.
Under the standard ordered by the US Department of Education, Doe was judged guilty under a “preponderance of the evidence,’’ meaning the three-member disciplinary board — made up of officials from neighboring colleges — found it more likely than not that the allegation was true, said the letter to Doe expelling him. In the past, Amherst and other colleges had used a tougher standard of proof — clear and convincing evidence of guilt.

The unfair process for college sexual assault allegations
I've been hearing reports on the particular case described at https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/ ... story.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but I did not know the situation is as bad as it is until I read that article.

I say we form an advocacy group with a black homo as our President to avoid criticism. This group would fight for mens right...to PAAARRRRTY!
Seriously though, I do agree with what you are saying and the whole advocacy group isn't far off the mark.

Exactly what happened to Jordan Johnson at Montana. He got screwed over by the University "justice" system...I truly hope he sues them for a boatload of money.

I don't know what happened with Johnson in particular but a situation has clearly developed in which the accuser is presumed to be telling the truth so that the accused is presumed guilty. It's very bad.AZGrizFan wrote:Exactly what happened to Jordan Johnson at Montana. He got screwed over by the University "justice" system...I truly hope he sues them for a boatload of money.

I really doubt he'd win considering the university was following protocol mandated by the DOJ. He got screwed for sure, but I think that's the reality of it.AZGrizFan wrote:Exactly what happened to Jordan Johnson at Montana. That won't cover schools- the DoJ cannot absolve schools of responsibility by edictGrizalltheway wrote:I really doubt he'd win considering the university was following protocol mandated by the DOJ. These college tribunals over what should be police matters are fraught with constitutional problems and WILL cost them money
