This is an awful story.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/cri ... story.html
One moment, the kids were playing in a second-floor apartment at Benning Terrace. The next moment, D.C. police said, a child had a gun in his hands and it fired, turning innocent summertime play into tragedy when a bullet struck 3-year-old Dalis Cox in the chest.

The girl, who liked bikes, Elmo and playing on her father’s tablet, died at a hospital about 90 minutes after the shooting Wednesday night.

Grizzaholic sees no problem with this story, and will probably tell you if the kid that was shot was armed this whole thing would've never happened.  :coffee: :coffee: :kisswink: :suspicious: :dunce:

I argued a while back on the last little girl being shot by her 4 year old brother
shouldn't their be charges filed against the parents..?

Isn't planting a loaded gun in a toddlers hand and rolling the dice a chargeable offense..?

I wonder seriously
In the last case the judge said there was no crime committed

REALLY...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find that astounding

I doubt that a 4 year old has the ability to understand the repercussions of their actions. I think at minimum social services/child welfare should be involved to determine if the kid(s) need to be placed elsewhere because of parental negligence. I'm not sure what charge you'd levy on a parent besides maybe some accessory to manslaughter or something of the sort.

Agreed: the child isn't the focus of the indictment
The parents through direct negligent actions caused a death
I'm curious how that is NOT a crime

I don't really care - but it is a curiosity

All the previous posts are right - parent, if it's their gun should face charges. Not fit to raise a kid or own a gun.

Nope, it was an accident, accidents happen.

There doesn't always have to be somebody to blame........really there doesnt.

It's a self responsibility thing but if you are going to blame somebody blame the public school system for not educating kids about guns

Fair enough...
I can work with that
Except the obvious troll:
School system being the nanny state
Responsible for teaching other peoples toddlers how to disassemble a side arm

But anyway, that obvious stupidity aside
I can agree with the - toddler got shot - no big deal approach
in fact I'm all for shooting toddlers

Not a troll, just simple fact

When kids are being picked on we need education and anti bullying campaigns
When teens are getting pregnant we need sex ed in classrooms
When kids are being shot we need education and informed teachers to teach them about guns

Its good for national security
It educates the ignorant anti gun morons
It makes the country stronger and more aligned.

The way you guys have it now is killing toddlers..................

Okay again I'll help you out...
The toddlers being killed by guns - are being killed by GUN OWNERS guns
Not the uneducated anti-gun crowd

Note:
GUN OWNERS children have an exponentially higher chance of being killed by a gun
Your fervor has created an alarming blind spot
But other than that I think you're doing great

The only thing that can stop a bad toddler with a gun is a good toddler with a gun. :coffee:

Now who is the troll

Most gun owners have never had any kind of training they just go buy a gun with a pack of cigarettes and stop at the tattoo parlor on the way home. Take you for example, you know very little about guns but boy will you tell us about them!

Like I keep saying, we SOOOOOO need the rest of the world to be smart like you......somebody should really write a song about it.

Dude... read your previous post where you're blaming "the ignorant anti-gun owners"
in the same sentence with toddlers being shot by pro-gun owners guns
its a bit of a MIXED message don't you think

and I have no problem with gun "education" and Pro-Gun positions in our culture
I am in complete acceptance of who we are and what we do in this regard

I am not your enemy on the gun thing bro...

:kisswink:

This guy below (Wade) who owns Wades East Side Gun Range is a friend of me and my brother
He's an awesome dude

You were the one trying to blame somebody for this incident not me......in fact I said it was an accident and they happen. Doesn't mean anyone should be blamed.

Oh and I am not worried if you are for or against guns it doesn't effect me one way or the other. I will always have guns regardless of the state or local laws.
