Obama Hates Kids With Cancer

Has Secret Service escort permitted group of 700 holding candlelight vigil off grounds so he can travel to Congressional Black Congress Gala. Unfuckingbelievable.
...some of the sick children, fatigued by the wait or the need to receive medication, had to return to their hotel rooms, organizers said. Others began crying, and some parents became enraged. Attendees said the group was not allowed access to personal items they left behind, such as chairs and blankets.
Police officers and agents at the scene told some parents that the closure was necessary because President Obama had left the White House from an entrance near the square to address the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual gala.

I personally think that we go way too far in protecting Presidents whether it's Obama or anybody else. We act like they're friggin' royalty and they're not.
There's no reason, for instance, that a friggin' city traffic system should be shut down so a President can drive to the airport.
A President is the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch of Government. That's all. To me one of the major points of the genesis of this country is we don't have "shit don't stink" royalty that we have to treat like gods or something. But we have allowed this thing with Presidents to evolve.
If a President gets whacked it really isn't that big a deal. It's really not. Our system is such that life would go on just fine. The person who is in the position at any time is not indispensable.
