Texas is many things to many people—a state the size of a medium-sized country; home to several idiot governors, one who became president, and a current one who thinks it’s a good idea for college students to openly carry firearms. To Donald Trump, Texas is the place where a “big, beautiful wall” should be built. To people in Norway, “texas” with a small “t” is a synonym for crazy, bonkers, out of control and wild. As in,that’s totally texas. Or in Norwegian: det var helt texas

1. Protect Austin
2. Get the art out of Dallas and Fort Worth
3. Build a wall around the state
4. If there's enough money, also include Mississippi and Arkansas
5. Drop ship guns and drugs to everyone inside and let em kill each other
6. Anyone left over will be eligible for the NFL supplemental draft or the GOP candidate for president.
7. Give Texas back to Mexico.

I actually really like Texas...
Its got a bunch of great cities and amazing back country
The women are spectacular - probably the best girlfriend I ever had was a TCU grad
She was smart funny and very pretty liked to drink beer and watch football and have sex

Texas people are pretty awesome - one of my very best friends is a native Dallas lifer
and he's 100% HUGE Christian - like BIG CHURCH Christian which is very popular in Texas
He loves his Dallas Cowboys and is an absolute blast to hang out with

Texas is Cool in my book and I've spent a lot of time there

Texas people, in general are the following:

1) Some of the politest sonsabitches you'll ever find. "Yes sir", "no sir", "thank you sir", "I'm sorry sir"....
2) Some of the worst drivers on the PLANET--as in "What's that? The speed limit is 40? Then I do believe I'll do 35, and drive right next to this other fine Texas person ALSO doing 35, so we block both lanes of traffic."
3) Some of the prettiest women around--once you get to Dallas or Houston. The other areas? Mmmmm....not so much (with all college campuses being "safe" zones absolutely FULL of hotties).
4) Some of the best, most knowledgeable football fans you'll find anywhere...
5) God-fearin', good hearted, give-you-the-shirt-off-their-back types who just want to live and let live.

Now, if I could just get them motherfuckers to learn how to drive, I'd be a lot less stressed.

Been to Dallas twice, found it to be an armpit both times.

Made one trip to San Antonio, and had a damn good time.

Attended the Texas A&M Industrial Fire School for a week, great education, lots of incredible blow hards running around College Station, was damn glad to get home.

Mexico should have Texas, I agree.

I was in the Dallas area in early January 2010 for some reason.

Dallas reminds me of Moses Lake, WA. Except it's in fucking TEXAS. Armpit is right!

And the good looking girls thing...

There's something like 20 million people there. Yes there will be some attractive ones. Probably thousands!

I heard that the girls at X university are really hot! A place where a bunch of 18-24 females are present and the percentage of ugly ones is less than Y university!

I have a new neighbor who is from Texas. Big time Tech fan, salt of the earth, Airforce chief, who is a kind hearted badass. Hell of a golfer too.

I sure am glad he's not from New Mexico!

Interesting. I've actually enjoyed Dallas the 3-4 times I've been up there. Now HOUSTON, THERE'S a fucking arm pit that I wouldn't live in for all the money in Texas.

Went to high school in Houston. I've stayed a lot closer to my Texan friends than to the Harvard ones. Very loyal, love football and longnecks. And the women are awesome. :thumb:

Most "Texans" I know are not really Texans but from somewhere else or children of parents from somewhere else. My town of less than 500 population is no longer its own town and that place now has 155,000 population.
I'm a real Texan from a land and oil family.

People have moved in from many places. Euless Trinity high school speaks more than 40 languages. A lot of the schools that had 90% white people speaking 1 or 2 languages has changed. At times I visit high schools and find the 90% has changed to 30% in about 30 years. Opportunistic foreigners have come in to many places and own the businesses in towns where English was nearly exclusively spoken. You will have no problem doing business in many other languages. One of my homes is in a town where the hair salon speaks English, Vietnamese and French. Most restaurants speak Spanish, Italian, Farsi, Chinese and English. It goes on like that and those people are not really Texans.
I rarely see any persons like the ones I grew up knowing. It's all very different now. I have to go out to small towns to find those types of Texans.

I know quite a few Norwegians. Screw the ones uses texas as crazy.

And people should care what Norway thinks, why? It's a completely irrelevant country. Texas is way more important to the world economy than Norway is. It's not even a country but it is more important. If Texas were to disappear tomorrow the world would lose a lot more than it would lose if Norway did.

Come on, Norway is relevant every four years when the Winter Olympics come on, what with the cross country skiing and the crazy pants curling team. How is that not important?

Never been to Texas, thankfully I was unable to make the trip to Frisco for the first game there. With that said, there is something strange about a place that takes high school football as seriously and religiously as they do. But I did enjoy the "Friday Nights Light" tv show, I mean, we wouldn't have known about Minka Kelly otherwise...

I've only visited Texas once and it was Dallas. I remember my thoughts being:

-Everyone was super nice.
-Other than homes, everything was more expensive than DC, including gas. I still don't understand why.
-Any meat related food was awesome. Like some of the best I've ever had.
-Any non-meat related food was garbage. Like some of the worst I've ever had.
-Restaurants give way too much food; I don't think I ever finished a meal. It might be me, but Dallas did seem to have a lot of overweight and obese people.
-Everything is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo far apart. And every home looked exactly the same.
-Overall, it was a pretty bland city. Nice people, but nothing special.
