$70,000 - File under "Things Fox News won't report"

So ever wonder what really happened after Dan Price decided to pay all 120 employees at least $70,000.
Grown men cried. Profits soared. Then things got really crazy.
Round one follow-up report was a poorly researched misinformation piece
that ran on Fox News every hour for a week - Saying: "The company is failing"
But - as usual with FOX News - the truth will not be aired

They won't report because that story is longer and more boring than a Spandos article. My god man, give us a soundbite.

Really? Who else is reporting it?

BTW, IIRC the pay increase to $70,000 was going to be phased in over years, so reporting this after a few months seems a little premature, no?
And there's this...
Price isn't backing down about pay going up. Now he's going all in. He revealed to Inc. that he has sold all his stocks, emptied his retirement accounts, and mortgaged his two properties -- including a $1.2 million home with a view of Puget Sound -- and poured the $3 million he raised into Gravity.

That is called going ALL IN my friend...
Something your average CEO in America would ask their employees to do but never do themselves

Bully for him, but if you think this is going to become the norm...

The "average CEO" in America doesn't have $3 million in equity in anything.

I still say it's an unsustainable model. Give it a little more time.

Not at all my point...
My point is there are two schools on this theory
The Wal-Mart concept that all employees are of minimal value and essentially a liability
or
The Costco model where you over compensate salary and over value employees
BOTH MODELS HAVE PROVEN TO WORK ..!!!

I thought your point was to piss on Fox News, despite the fact no OTHER news agency is reporting this breakthrough either....

Regarding Fox my point was they ran a follow-up piece that was filled with inaccuracies
inaccuracies specifically designed to deceive
and instead of correcting that - like a NEWS AGENCY would
They've opted to cover it up like a propaganda wing would

Stop calling the Gravity model the same as the Costco model. It's not even close. The people on the floor at Costco are not making $70k. And they are not making the same as most of the Corporate employees.

And that wasn't my point in posting it. He's thrown ALL his money back into the company and they haven't increased the salaries to $70k yet, so let's wait to see if it sustains and grows beyond the three years of the phase in of increases.

Social Media Was a C.E.O.’s Bullhorn, and How He Lured Women
Dan Price was applauded for paying a minimum salary of $70,000 at his Seattle company and criticizing corporate greed. The adulation helped to hide and enable his behavior.
Mr. Price’s internet fame has enabled a pattern of abuse in his personal life and hostile behavior at his company, interviews with more than 50 people, documents and police reports show. He has used his celebrity to pursue women online who say he hurt them, both physically and emotionally. Ms. Margis is one of more than a dozen women who spoke to The New York Times about predatory encounters with Mr. Price.

Is his company still in business? Did he follow through with the $70K promise? Whats the verdict seven years later?

Nice bump. Dude got run out of town on a rail. Turns out he’s a crook and a serial sex abuser of employees.

So you’d vote for him if he ran for public office?

He seems to be in favor of a living wage.

When did wages gain sentience? Or is this more of a zombie thing.
