Without knowing anything but what is in the OP, I'm going to guess this case will be much easier to prosecute than Michael Brown, whose killing was only made a federal case to placate a mob.

Yes, actually. Individual cases, unique circumstances. Garner, illegally selling smokes, shouldn't have died. Every time a black man is killed, society never looks at his actions that contributed to the death.

E. Garner: resisting arrest, selling untaxed cigarettes. Arrested 30 times since 1980. On parole at the time of his death for doing what he as suspected of doing. All that doesn't warrant death however his refusal to obey authorities didn't help him.

M. Brown: Robbed store. Refused police orders, attacked police, ran away and then turned around and started charging the officer.

W. Scott: Pulled over, ran away, tried to take a cops weapon, then continued running.

Maybe if these black men had stopped and accepted the consequences of their actions, they'd be alive today.

Kid in Cleveland...that i'm not familiar with so I won't say anything. Is it like the kid in Walmart that was killed?



Keep in mind, In the past year we have 3 high profile cases of black men being killed by police. In that same time frame, how many black men have been pulled over, approached on the street, etc.. and have lived?

Is that what happened? Why is it so damn difficult to understand that when a cop says something, you do it. Even if you disagree, do it. You'll make it out alive and that's much better than the alternative.


I understand people don't trust the police. But what I don't understand is acting in a way that perpetuates the mistrust on both sides.

I saw the video, no audio. Police can direct an order through a speaker. Perhaps they did that before they got out of the safety of the car and approached the subject.

I don't know, i'm only speculating using my past experiences of working with LE. Is that racist?

Not really. He was in a park with a pellet gun, with the colored(racist?) tip taken off, walking around aiming it at things, not people. They pulled up and got out and shot him because he was holding. No conversation was made.
And for the record, the cops were justified not knowing if it was a real gun.

If that was their concern, why did they drive right up? Wouldn't you stay back and direct first?
