Good for the Dems. It was starting to look like the only elections they could win were Presidential elections. Doesn't put much of a dent in the GOP's stranglehold on governorships (31 GOP to 18 Dems and 1 Indy) but good to see that they can compete. Of course, not every candidate will have Vitter's prostitution background to run against (another example of a very smart person - Vitter was a Rhodes scholar - not being able to control their private lives).

I would think that having Ted "Kill all the Gays" Cruz as your Senator would be enough reason to cry.

Meh. Coming from a state where the Donks elected that paragon of moral rectitude, Edwin Edwards, twice ("the only way they'll beat me is if I'm caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy"), I'm not surprised.
