For the first time in 8 years, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates today, albeit by just 25 basis points.

Let's hope they don't suck what little life there is out of this mediocre economy we're experiencing.

As long as the total new rate increases in 2016 are 75 basis points or less, I don't think it will suck much out of the economy. Certainly it won't suck as much out as Obamacare and the cost of increased regulations since 2008 have.

It would have probably been better had the Fed taken 25 basis points in September, rather than waiting.

She is using an old playbook. The old playbook doesn't have any plays for a pathetically lackluster economic recovery that is taking about 5-6 years longer than it should to flourish.

Thanks, Obama.

And some are saying that this paltry increase will be the only one until after the election.

I never said that trickle down is the answer, but it works a hell of a lot better than what the Obama Administration has done.

Banks must be in trouble or Obamal would not have let this happen. Bailout big money, and let the peasants pay and eat cake. Might just start looking at some precious metals again if this continues to be the norm.
