The chief loser, meanwhile, is the federal deficit, which grows by hundreds of billions of dollars under the terms of the tax deal.

How can one party look at massive spending hikes as a win, the other looks at extending tax breaks as a win, and not understand that you're spending more money that you don't have? And that everything they did is collectively "for the good of the country"?
