Hey, kalm!
Gary Johnson threw his hat in the ring today on Fox Business! He's running for the Libertarian Party nomination again. You in?

The dude in the coon hat with side flaps shouldn't give him too much trouble
hell a few weeks ago I looked at the Libertarian Party's lineup of candidates and was tempted to announce myself

Re: Hey, kalm!
Think about it...
If Trump wins the nomination, you'll have JSO voting for Hillary and Kalm voting for Gary Johnson.
How awesome is that!

If Trump gets the GOP nod, I will either vote for Johnson or write in D1B.

Anyway, if some other jamoke beats out Johnson for the Libertarian nomination, I'll write myself in.

As I've said many times, I have no problem with libertarians, but Libertarians are batshit crazy.

And Trump isn't? Will you actually pull the "R" lever if Trump is the nominee?89Hen wrote:As I've said many times, I have no problem with libertarians, but Libertarians are batshit crazy.

Hey, kalm!
all it takes is to look at their slate of candidates on their website to reach that conclusion89Hen wrote:As I've said many times, I have no problem with libertarians, but Libertarians are batshit crazy.
that said, I think it is hard to codify a political belief system into an idea that personal liberty should be the cornerstone of politics
all the other groups and parties talk about what we should be doing to mold and shape societies
libertarianism, when you try to make it into a party, naturally winds up looking a bit crazy because there's not much else to talk about outside of protecting your skull from alien rays
since all thing political center on what should not be done vs what should

Probably not. I think abstaining sends just as much of a message as voting for a third party.Ivytalk wrote:And Trump isn't? Will you actually pull the "R" lever if Trump is the nominee?89Hen wrote:As I've said many times, I have no problem with libertarians, but Libertarians are batshit crazy.

What message does it send? That you take voting privileges for granted?89Hen wrote:Probably not. I think abstaining sends just as much of a message as voting for a third party.Ivytalk wrote:

Re: Hey, kalm!
Was at a chamber of commerce breakfast today and Chris Cillizza was a guest speaker. He spoke on both parties, who can win, who can't and also a little on why this country won't have a third party in our lifetimes. Was very funny, candid and spot on.
