Certainly you can pick and choose verses out of various holy texts to paint any of the world's religions any way you please, but I think that islam is the only one that doesn't wink-wink, nudge-nudge, knowwhatimean its followers to be hard core, but rather explicitly commands them to seek out nonbelievers and either convert or kill them. Agreed.

And related to this I think this is one way we screw up our fight against the Muslins. We try to fight a conventional battle against guys with guns. Time to act like the Israelis and make targeted assassinations. If you're a muslin preacher in Saudi Arabia/Egypt/Iraq/etc. that is preaching jihad in your mosque and encouraging these people to fight it is time for you to take a dirt nap. Kill enough of them and it might get their attention.

All of this is wishful thinking though because we wouldn't want to offend the Saudis.

Since we here on the East Coast don't have much open land, the whole, "dirt nap" concept is usually replaced with, "sleeping with the fishes," "cement shoes," or just burying someone in a concrete slab of a building's foundation.
