I don't know about all of that, but the state is definitely asserting it's power over the municipalities. In this case, the State is wrong. 100%.dbackjon wrote:Binch of bigoted Theocrats - the real threat to the Constitution
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/25/us/no ... crory.htmlConservative groups, using the hashtag #keepncsafe, were quick to praise the legislature and thanked the governor for signing a bill they said would protect women and children from unwanted advances from biological males in bathrooms.

I always used boys bathroom in elementary school, unless it was a single bathroom.∞∞∞ wrote:The sad thing is that a transgendered male has a MUCH higher chance of getting hurt in a male bathroom than a transgendered male hurting someone in a women's bathroom. Same for transgendered females.
Also, I do find it funny that we all use the same bathrooms until we're in 3rd or 4th grade and then suddenly it's weird if girls and boys use the same facility. You'd think we adults wouldn't really care, but I guess everyone is a rapist and perv when it comes to bathrooms.

Westgate Elementary in Fairfax County. It might be different now, but we had unisex bathrooms until 3rd of 4th grade, which is coincidentally when sex ed starts. So maybe that's why?TheDancinMonarch wrote:Really? Where the hell did you go to school?∞∞∞ wrote: Also, I do find it funny that we all use the same bathrooms until we're in 3rd or 4th grade ...
You're such a dumbass. Don't you know by now that it doesn't matter what Democrats say? Only Republicans can be held accountable for their words.HI54UNI wrote:"Elections have consequences" - Barack Obama, 2009

Well, it is smaller government than a typical one-size-fits-all mandate being rammed down the throats of the entire nation by the federal government.kalm wrote:Also, also...small government!!!

Pervy fags like dback, who want everyone to know every detail about their sexuality have no problem with mentally ill, gender-confused pervs of a different variety waving their dicks at women and little girls in women's bathrooms, even though the women and little girls do.
I really don't get the whole concept of, "I have a right to wave my dick at you and you have an obligation to look at it."
People should have the freedom to poop and pee wherever they'd like.JohnStOnge wrote:As you know I actually consider anti discrimination laws to be contrary to the principles behind our Constitution. People should be free to discriminate. People should not be forced by government to associate with you, hire you, engage in business with you, etc., if they don't want to. And their reasons for not wanting to associate with you, hire you, engage in business with you, etc., should be none of government's business...local, state, or national.
Government is not...or should not be...Mommy and Daddy. And the citizens are not children that Mommy and Daddy should be forcing to be nice to each other.
Disgusted, not scared.kalm wrote:You sound scared of something.CitadelGrad wrote:

You know very well that that's not the same kind of thing. What we're talking about here is government forcing people to associate with people they don't want to associate with. It's horrible to be doing that in a country that was supposed to be about liberty. It's an indication that our culture have totally lost touch with what the country is supposed to be about. And it's not supposed to be about government forcing other people to interact with us.People should have the freedom to poop and pee wherever they'd like.
Seriously, where in the constitution does it say that? If the constitution is about the principle of freedom why can't someone poop or pee wherever they'd like?JohnStOnge wrote:You know very well that that's not the same kind of thing. The idea of the Constitution was to enumerate the powers of the Federal government under the understanding that if a power wasn't enumerated the Federal government doesn't have it. It does not bear upon what State and local governments do.Seriously, where in the constitution does it say that? If the constitution is about the principle of freedom why can't someone poop or pee wherever they'd like?
Does the word ownership appear in the constitution?
If not, why are you adding things that aren't there?
Are you a living document sort of guy?
