So apparently some think they're being really clever doing this...

This is a direct affront to the Second Amendment and puts all attendees at risk. As the National Rifle Association has made clear, "gun-free zones" such as the Quicken Loans Arena are "the worst and most dangerous of all lies." The NRA, our leading defender of gun rights, has also correctly pointed out that "gun free zones... tell every insane killer in America... (the) safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk."
Yes, I'm sure the RNC will be a gun-free zone no different than a college campus or typical public place and there will be no security on site. :dunce:

But Gun Free zones are dangerous.

And only good guys would be at the convention, so no worries. It is in Cleveland, one of those dangerous liberal cities, so protection is needed.

They have already said that even if guns were allowed in general there, the Secret Service can trump (see what I did there) any gun law and ban them from the facility. So petition all you want, no guns.

Allowing guns at the RNC would make it much easier for party elders to have Trump assassinated and blame it on some redneck yahoo.

Apparently you guys weren't paying close attention yesterday when the Secret Service said no guns will be allowed.

I see the Secret Service says no guns. I'm wondering what Constitutional language gives the Secret Service the authority to say that.

Probably the same one that grants police powers.
