How 'bout that Popester inviting Bernie to the Vatican two days before the NY primary? Is that a Papal smackdown on Hillary or what?

Somebody must have told the Pope that Bernie is a 10-year old boy.

Now the Vatican claims Bernie invited himself.

I don't know why there's so much hullaballoo over this pope.

He's been borderline liberation theology his whole life and suddenly people think its novel that he leans socialist.

It is pretty novel that a liberationist is Pope, though.

The Pope is not American. I have no idea why people think he should conform to our Constitution or agree with us on everything.

It is novel only because he's the first.

Whole swaths of the Catholic Church can be classified as liberationist so I'm a bit surprised there wasn't a Romero pope sooner.

You're right, CID... the next liberationist Pope won't be as novel. Profound observation. :?

I know you are sometimes a little slow on the uptake... you're in good company...

I said what I said in terms of the fact that Liberation Theology is not a novel concept within the Catholic Church

that one of them became pope is a feature, not a bug
