I love the fact that has has no idea what departments the Federal Government has...

It shows he has no affiliation with our present system
He hasn't be bought and sold

In many ways his clueless bumbling is actually VERY GOOD NEWS
It doesn't mean he's an idiot (as some would have us believe)

Neither do you, I, or anyone else:

"Nobody Knows How Many Federal Agencies Exist

"How Many Federal Agencies Exist?

As bureaucracy sprawls, nobody can say with complete authority exactly how many federal agencies exist....

....The list below summarizes various tallies.

How Many Federal Agencies Exist?

Unified Agenda: 60

Administrative Conference of the United States: 115

FOIA.gov (at Department of Justice): 252
https://cei.org/blog/nobody-knows-how-m ... cies-exist

United States Government Manual: 316

Federal Register Index: 257

Regulations.gov: 89...."

Trump was referring to the EPA, one of 60, or 115, or 252, or 257, or 316 fed govt agencies (no one knows how many- not you, I or anyone else) and he got the name wrong. Who cares?

Nice spin trying to cover for Trumps inability to remember a Fed department so crucial to hindering America's economic prosperity than the EPA.

I can't wait to hear what comes out of Trumps mouth when he tries to go into more policy details we'll see if he were to be POTUS.

Reminds me of Rick Perry's gaff when trying to name off 3 departments that will be reduced when he was running.

This.

The EPA is kind of an important one.

Oops!

But I agree with Cleets.

I got the Rick Perry reference first. See above. Juan Valdez didn't give proper credit.

I would actually cut him some slack on that one and assume he's talking about the EPA. But he's still an abomination.

He doesn't deserve a pass on this, but I do know where the confusion came from. In New Jersey, the State environmental agency is known as the NJDEP, or DEP for short. As a developer of many properties in Atlantic City, I'm sure he had to deal with the NJDEP a lot.

But yeah, it's still a mistake he should not make.

If Obama could still be elected after saying he visited 57 states this is nothing.

I consider that particular gaffe a slip of the tongue thing. I think there are plenty of other things he's said that are a lot more "disqualifying."
