You may be seeing the news about it on TV now. I've been in that vicinity many times. It's about 0.8 miles as the crow flies from my Son in Law's Mom's house. Here's a map showing that. Her house is the pin at the upper left; incident site is the pin at lower right.

On the local news there is a witness saying it wasn't a thing to target police. He says that there was a gun battle going on between non police people in a parking lot, police showed up in response, and it turned into a gun battle with police. I don't know if that's true or not. Time will tell. But that's what one eye witness just said on TV.

Another eye witness account makes it sound more like a targeted shooting. I guess we'll have to wait until the fog clears some to know what appears to have happened.
