Hard not to, since he tweeted that he supports everything Trump stated last night. He's an ass, and the timing is terrible. Makes you wonder if he isn't being paid.93henfan wrote:Oh great. I doubt CNN will link that to Trump or anything.![]()
2016: the year of the American shitshow election
Troof!Pwns wrote:If people actually read a lot of his stuff they'd find he's not much different than hard-line minority oppression liberators. He basically promotes a victim narrative.
Except he uses words like "zionism" and "jewish supremacist" instead of "white privilege".
But of course it's different when minorities do it.
White supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke announced a run for U.S. Senate in Louisiana in a web video today, linking his campaign to the message of Donald Trump’s presidential bid.
“I was the first major candidate in modern times to promote the term and policy of ‘America First,’” Duke said. “We cannot have free trade without fair trade.”
“I’m overjoyed to see Donald Trump and most Americans embrace most of the issues I’ve championed for years,” he said. ”I’ve always opposed these wars that lead our nation to disaster.”
Duke endorsed Trump's presidential run in February, and called on supporters to help the New York developer's White House campaign.

Goddamnit JSO!!! Enough with the Trump. We get it. You aren't gong to change anyone's mind.JohnStOnge wrote:It's impossible to keep Trump's name out of it if a news agency is going to honestly report on Duke running at all. For example:

I didn't bring Trump into the conversation in this thread. I was responding to a comment about CNN potentially bringing Trump up. I was just pointing out that if media report on Duke running for Senate it's impossible not to bring Trump up if they're going to honestly report on Duke's announcement.Ibanez wrote:Goddamnit JSO!!! I'm not going to change any real Trump supporters' minds. They pretty much showed early on that they have suspended their critical thinking skills in order to rationalize being part of the cult. But one never knows when a piece of information one shares will make its way to a rational person who is genuinely conflicted over whether he or she should vote for even someone so bad as Hillary Clinton in order to play their part in making sure someone like Donald Trump does not become President.Ibanez wrote:You aren't gong to change anyone's mind.

And the correct answer to a person contemplating that question is, of course, "yes." Donald Trump appears to be mentally ill. He is, in terms of emotional maturity, a child in a 70 year old's body. He is totally dishonest. He sets up premises pertaining to existing conditions that are false then says he alone is going to ride in on his white horse and save us. He lies about what his past positions on high profile issues were in order to portray himself as something he's not. He is totally unqualified. His business record isn't even all that impressive. He is where he is because he went into the situation rich and would have more money now if he'd just put what he inherited into a stock index fund. He has a history of cheating people. He's a huge hypocrite in that he's got a bunch of manufacturing operations in other countries in order to take advantage of cheap labor yet criticizes companies like Ford for doing the same thing. Putting that guy into that job would be an insane move by the United States electorate. The alternative, HIllary, is bad. but she is a better alternative than Trump is. If nothing else, she is at least an emotionally mature adult who is at least minimally qualified for the job. And she's in the minor leagues on the dishonesty front compared to Trump.
That's not for you. That's in case someone who is genuinely conflicted and is genuinely trying to make the right decision happens to read this post. And if they do and choose to ask me to back up anything and/or everything I wrote in the paragraph above, I will be happy to oblige.
Or they can go to your JSO Trump Threads thread as a convenient way to access details:

I am, but in one sense on this matter I am not. That is because I have a well established history of taking the position that it's very important to fight to minimize the power of the Democrat Party. I have been no fan of the Clinton's. I criticized the Benghazi thing. So on and so forth.Ibanez wrote:At least you are consistent.
