With Hillary laying in the dust, it's time to focus on what the Trump Admin is doing.

Trump spends Thanksgiving 'working hard' on Carrier plant
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla./WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican President-elect Donald Trump said on Thursday he was spending part of his Thanksgiving holiday trying to convince an Indiana air conditioner maker to stay in the United States - reflecting his election campaign pledge to stop the flow of jobs abroad.

Trump, who is also weighing decisions on his Cabinet during a family retreat at his Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida, said on Twitter that he was "working hard, even on Thanksgiving, trying to get Carrier A.C. Company to stay in the U.S. (Indiana). MAKING PROGRESS - Will know soon!"

Carrier Corp, a division of United Technologies Corp , responded on Twitter that the company has had "discussions with the incoming administration" but had "nothing to announce at this time." A representative for the company had no additional comment.

Earlier this year, the company said it would move 1,400 jobs to Mexico from Indiana, giving a three-year timetable for the shift.

The whole "Make America Great Again" thing reflects a false premise. America is great. And Trump isn't going to make it greater. He's going to degrade it. His election has already made the United States a world laughing stock. And he has no idea as to what he's doing.

BTW, instead of trying to convince Carrier to manufacture in the United States why doesn't HE just move all of HIS manufacturing operations into the United States? He has direct control over that.

The way you people buy this guy's crap is just unbelievable.

Trump to Announce Carrier Plant Will Keep Jobs in U.S.

From the earliest days of his campaign, Donald J. Trump made keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States his signature economic issue, and the decision by Carrier, the big air-conditioner company, to move 2,000 of them from Indiana to Mexico was a tailor-made talking point for him on the stump.

On Thursday, Mr. Trump and Mike Pence, Indiana’s governor and the vice-president elect, plan to appear at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant to announce they’ve struck a deal with the company to keep roughly half of the jobs in the state, according to officials with the transition team as well as Carrier.

I could have done this also! I just didn't want to.

Carrier will keep jobs in the US. Apple is contemplating making iPhones in the US.

Indiana citizens will now pay $7,000,000 in annual tax incentives for 800 Carrier jobs to stay in Indiana...

"We certainly don't want to take as our guide to creating jobs special tax breaks for a company that earned $7.5 billion in profits last year, got $6 billion in defense contracts, paid its top five executives $50 million, in order to preserve 1,000 out of 2,100 jobs," said Shapiro.

"It's essentially a transfer from the taxpayers of Indiana, who are providing these tax breaks, to the shareholders of United Technology plus those 1,000 workers. That's really not a model for creating jobs across America," he added..."
