Hospitals must now post prices online
Maybe you’re familiar with a common quirk of health insurance coverage: Not knowing the cost of services until after the fact.

A new price transparency rule that took effect Jan. 1 is an effort to change that.

Basically, hospitals are now required to post online, in a consumer-friendly format, the rates they’ve negotiated with insurers for 300 common medical services.

Great idea.

My Doc of 25 years and who’s clinic is 10 minutes away is no longer in network. If I don’t want to pay out of pocket I get to start all over again explaining various health issues plus an hour commute.

Finding the out of pocket fees was like hacking into the pentagon.
They range from $140-$270 for office visits depending on duration, referrals to specialists, orders for blood work and writing scripts.

This is great news. It's BS that they wouldn't before. They know what they're going to charge for a procedure or a visit and they know what BCBS will allow. I know there are thousands of services and just as many insurance policies but there should be a way to say your procedure, with BCBS will be between $100-$300, depending on your policy.

And then we (through the government) tell them it should be lower because we think it should be lower. Or even better, we tell them they shouldn't even do that procedure or treatment altogether.

Well, at least Trump wasn't as bad for his party as Obama, under whom the democrats suffered the biggest of any president since Eisenhower. Under Obama donks went from:
60 Senate seats to 48
257 House seats to 194
29 governors to 16
Control (both Houses) of 27 state legislatures to 13. Conks went from 16 to 32.
816 state legislature seats.

That's interesting. But my bet would be that if you were to ask Republican elected leaders right now if they would rather have their Party associated with somebody like Trump or rather have it associated with somebody like Obama the would say "somebody like Obama." I'm not talking about in terms of political philosophy. I'm talking about in terms of how the person is perceived. Obama is a popular figure. Generally viewed as rational and statesmanlike. Trump, obviously, is not.

Also, there is no Obama cult. Democrats do not have to choose between being rational and pandering to an Obama cult as Republicans have to choose between being rational and pandering to the Trump cult.

When Obama left office he was up by 22.9 percentage points in the real clear politics favorability rating (59.0% to 36.1%). Right now Trump is down by 11.4 percentage points (42.2% to 56.6%). Frankly I'm amazed that, at this point, we have enough nut jobs in this country to have Trump favored by that many people. But the Republican Party being associated with him is not good for the Republican Party.

I am going to go ahead and cite Wikipedia citing Gallup. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_St ... val_rating. There is a table showing the average approval ratings of US Presidents since Gallup started doing it with FDR. 14 Presidents. Can you guess which of the 14 has the lowest average approval rating?

Hint: His name starts with "T" and it isn't Truman.

I sure hope that, at this point, there is NOBODY out there who thinks that America has been anything but diminished since Trump took office in 2017.

I realize that is a false hope. But, good GRIEF. The guy is a total disaster.

Lets have your analysis of each below Trump accomplishment:

Domestic
1.Judicial appointments (3 SCOTUS judges + NUMEROUS Circuit).
2.Tax cuts for 2/3 of taxpayers.
3.Getting tougher on Illegal Immigration (numerous things)
4.Unemployment before the China Virus, and bounce back since.
5.Stock Market
6.Ending Obamacare mandate.
7.Deregulation.
8.Approving Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines.
9.American Energy Independence- net exporter.
10.VA Reform: Greatly expanded & made permanent what had started under Obama as a limited, temporary, VA Choice Program.
11.Criminal Justice Reform.
12. Creation of Space Force: 1st new military branch since 1947.
13.Operation Warp Speed: Vaccine faster than the experts thought possible.

Foreign Policy
1.Renegotiating NAFTA (United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement.
2.Pulling out of Trans Pacific Partnership
3.Getting tough on China. A trade war is bad, but with China
-we have a massive trade deficit.
-China puts tarriffs on US goods.
-They manipulate their currency.
-They committ massive state sponsored economic espionage.
4.Nixing the terrible Iran Deal.
-Didn’t allow for unannounced, unfettered inspections
-Unfroze 150 billion in Iranian assets
-1.7 billion direct cash to Iran.
5.Pulling out of the Paris Climate deal.
-Not a treaty
-Didn’t hold China & India to same standard.
-Would cost our economy trillions with marginal benefit in terms of stopping any human caused global warming.
6.Getting deadbeat NATO countries to pledge to pay more.
7.Pulling out Syria.
8.Opening dialogue with North Korea.
9. Middle East Peace deal
. (which resulted in Nobel Peace Prize nomination).
10. Balkans Peace Deal (which resulted in another Nobel Peace Prize nomination).
11. Al Baghdadi killed- founder of ISIS.
12. Soleimani killed.
13. Moved US Embassy to Jerusalem.
14. NO NEW WARS
- 1st POTUS in 40 years to have that accomplishment.

After 26 positives you listed a negative (I’m sure you could come up with more, as could I more positives).
-How much of that exoansion of thr deficit & national debt was in the final year due to the trillions spent on the China Virus relief packages + ginormous hit to the economy & tax revenue?
