Breaking- Truck slams into Christmas market in Berlin. Initial reports at least 1 dead, 50+ injured.

-9/17/15, Berlin Stabbing: A 41-year-old self-proclaimed Islamist Rafik Mohamad Yousef was shot dead in Berlin after he severely stabbed and injured a policewoman in an incident on a public street in Berlin. Yousef was tried and convicted for plotting to assassinate the Prime Minister of Iraq during his visit to Germany in 2004. Was released in 2013 (thanks Merkel).

-6/2/16 Düsseldorf Terrorism Plot was a reported plot by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) to carry out a series of bombings and shootings in multiple sections of the German city of Düsseldorf similar to those carried out in Paris in November 2015. The plot was foiled after one of the conspirators turned himself in to French authorities in February 2016. This resulted in arrests of three of the members of the conspiracy on 2 June, following several months of further investigation

The plot involved up to 10 conspirators travelling from Syria to engage in a series of suicide bombings and mass shootings in central Düsseldorf. The plot was to involve attacks on the Heinrich-Heine-Allee street, as well as other attacks in the Altstadt district of the city. The plot was supposedly ordered by ISIS command in Syria and the plot was foiled while waiting for all the conspirators to arrive in the city.

Three of the suspects were registered as refugees and lived in migrants residences throughout Germany, which fueled the debate over Germany's policy during the European migrant crisis. The man arrested in France, Saleh A., and the suspect arrested in Wriezen, Brandenburg, Hamza C., travelled to Turkey together in 2014 and entered Germany via the Balkan route in 2015. An explosives expert, Abd Arahman A.K., who was arrested in Leimen, Baden-Württemberg, travelled to Germany in October 2014 via the Balkans. The fourth suspect, Mahood B., resided in Mühlheim, Germany before he was convinced by Saleh A. and Hamza C. to participate in the plot

-7/1/16, Würzburg: Axe Attack on train by Riaz Khan Ahmadzai, asylum seeker from Pakistan, who claimed to be an unaccompanied minor from Afghanistan. Ahmadzai was shot dead after injuring 5.

-7/24/16, Ansbach: Suicide Bombing. Bomber identified as Mohammad Daleel, a 27-year-old Syrian refugee who had pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of the Islamic State, blows himself up outside of a wine bar, wounding a dozen, several seriously. 1/2 hour earlier an alert security guard undoubtedly saved dozens of lives when he denied Daleel entry to a packed sellout concert of 2500.

-10/8/16, The Chemnitz Terrorism Plot was a suspected terrorist bombing plot to bomb a German airport, which became known to the public on 8 October 2016 in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. It was reportedly planned by the 22-year-old Syrian man Jaber al-Bakr, who arrived in Germany as a Syrian refugee in 2015. He and 2 other suspects were arrested on 10/9 and 10/10 in Chemnitz and Paunsdorf. Al-Bakr committed suicide in his cell in Leipzig on 10/12.

-12/16/16 Ludwigshafen Bombing Plot.. A 12-year-old, who is a German and Iraqi citizen, was reported to be the perpetrator. He was directed by ISIL to build two nail bombs and plant them at the local christmas market and near a shopping center. After the first attempt failed at the christmas market on 26 November and the bomb did not explode, he tried a second time on 5 December near the mall and the town hall of Ludwigshafen.

Der Spiegel reported that police had found an identity document under the driver’s seat of the truck in the name of Anis A, born in Tataouine in 1992, and that the suspect was believed to use different names.
