Here's a report from the day before the election on a poll estimating how Trump would've done vs. Obama:

The result: Obama would clobber Trump and Romney would trounce Clinton.

Obama can’t run for a third term, but if he could he’d beat Trump by 12 percentage points, 53 percent to 41 percent, according to the poll. Romney would defeat Clinton by 10 percentage points.

If you're wondering, that poll had Clinton up by 3 percentage points over Trump in the popular vote. She beat him by 2.1 percentage points in the popular vote. If you want to think Trump could win in the electoral college while losing by something like 12 percentage point in the popular vote, go ahead.

This bears upon a problem for the "right" with Trump winning. They are interpreting it as a repudiation of the policies of the "left." It's not that. It's a unique situation in which the opposing candidate was under FBI investigation for much of the election, etc., etc. Note the part of the quote above saying that Romney would've beaten Clinton much worse than Trump did.

Obama would have likely won the presidential election
and yes he was trolling the Trump camp - and they shot back immediately - as expected

But all that crap aside
After 8 years we need a new president regardless of who it is

Obama would have beat the crap out of Trump. Not even close. But in the end we will never know.

Right. I don't care if Obama took some time to clear his head. The President has a lot of stress and burden on his shoulders. And if think he just puts an Out of Office on his email and then checks out, then you're just a special type of stupid. He's never off the job. He's on duty 24/7. Shit, if the POTUS can do a better job from Crawford, Hawai'i or Camp David, then that's where he needs to be.
