Megyn Kelly, who arrived at Fox News 12 years ago as a television news neophyte but rose to become one of its two biggest stars, has decided to leave the network to take on a broad new role at NBC News for an undisclosed salary, NBC announced Tuesday afternoon.
The NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, wooed Ms. Kelly away from Fox News by offering her a triple role in which she will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-depth Sunday night news show and take regular part in the network’s special political programming and other big-event coverage.

NBC trying to attract conservative viewers, or lose liberal ones?
I think it's the latter, which means they'll be behind MSNBC in ratings before long.

Howard Stern said on his show yesterday that he thinks she'll be a flop based on past history at NBC, and he does have some history with NBC. He compared her to Deborah Norville, who was a can't-miss rising star at CBS who NBC basically gave carte blanche and then when she struggled in the ratings they basically assassinated her character and relegated her to the scrap heap of serious journalism.

I'm old enough to remember Deborah, and she was eminently fappable.

a lot has changed since Howard Stern was on the mainstream front
I don't necessarily disagree with him but I hope she gets to create her own environment and see what happens

She's one of my favorites. I like Shep Smith too but he isn't as sharp as she is.
My wife hates her and I can't decide if that's a liberal thing or a jealous of the hot chick I like thing.
