Will Hillary Be Pardoned?
Will Obama pardon Hillary for crimes she "has committed or may have committed or taken part in"?

I'm voting no. I think Obama realizes it's a moot point, insofar as her ever being elected President is concerned, and that would have been the only reason to pardon her.
She stole the nomination from her own party and Democrats will never forgive that. Assange sealed her fate by exposing the lies, collusion, and corruption.

Democratic voters at this point are stupid. Don't give them any credit.93henfan wrote:I'm voting no. I think Obama realizes it's a moot point, insofar as her ever being elected President is concerned, and that would have been the only reason to pardon her.

The ones I've seen on social media and the media in general are still in denial about the election.93henfan wrote:Even stupid people hate being cheated, especially when the proof is there to see.kalm wrote:

No. I'm more worried about Mumia the gangsta cop-killer.

No, and I doubt she is ever indicted anyway.

I doubt Hillary will be pardoned. I don't think her ego would allow her to accept it. If Obama does pardon her, it will be because his own closet contains a related skeleton and he wants to preempt that before the left leaning DOJ swings to the right.
I still think he will free Mumia. If he doesn't, then my impression of his integrity will improve.

How could Obama pardon Mumia? Mumia was convicted in a state court.CID1990 wrote:I doubt Hillary will be pardoned. I don't think her ego would allow her to accept it. "Does the President have authority to grant clemency for a state conviction?
No. The President’s clemency power is conferred by Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Constitution of the United States, which provides: “The President . . . shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” Thus, the President’s authority to grant clemency is limited to federal offenses and offenses prosecuted by the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia in the name of the United States in the D.C. Superior Court. An offense that violates a state law is not an offense against the United States. A person who wishes to seek a pardon or a commutation of sentence for a state offense should contact the authorities of the state in which the conviction occurred. Such state authorities are typically the Governor or a state board of pardons and/or paroles, if the state government has created such a board..."

Yeah, but Democrats are too fucking stupid to realize it. It's Assange's fault for exposing them, but it's not the DNCs fault for acting un-democratically .93henfan wrote:I'm voting no. Personally, I think Obama doesn't care much for Clinton and isn't' going to tarnish his legacy by issuing any pardon.

I don't think she'd accept it since she still seems to fervently believe that she never did anything wrong.

Re: Will Hillary Be Pardoned?
How do you not accept a pardon or clemency? Do you walk into a courthouse and demand a trial from the first judge you run in to? If you're already in jail do you refuse to leave? I don't think he'll issue one anyway, but I don't think you can decline one anyway.ASUG8 wrote:I don't think she'd accept it since she still seems to fervently believe that she never did anything wrong.

My point is she'd probably ask "what am I being pardoned for? I haven't been convicted of anything requiring one."GannonFan wrote:How do you not accept a pardon or clemency?
