It's safe to predict that Delaware's ranking will change after this year's budget crisis. The Delaware chickens are coming home to roost: casino revenues tanking, corporate tax revenues dropping, major businesses leaving the state, escheat statute under attack, elderly population spiking (thanks, NJ and NY

Washington has Fairchild AFB, McCord AFB, Fort Lewis, Bangor Trident Sub Base, Whidbey Naval Air Station, 3 national parks, and the Hanford Nuclear Reservation.
