Autism and vaccines

Amazing how many "Damn vaxxers!" statements I see on the interwebs, so I thought I would post what I have learned to help the discussion. In a nutshell, only in exceptionally rare cases, do vaccines cause autism. With that said, I want to give a little background as to why the belief is so strong.
1) Most parents see their kids "autism" start to appear around the 12-15 month mark, and that is when a lot of MMR vaccinations are given. If nothing in your life has changed, you naturally look to what was injected.
2) Dr Andrew Wakefield had a paper (retracted) in which he had supposedly linked autism to the MMR vaccine. I have'nt had a chance to read any anti-Wakefield stuff, so I may be biased, but it looks as if all he wanted was to break the MMR up into three shots instead of one and got pounded on it. He is often described as "disgraced", but you know how a man against the system is a hero.
3) There is actually a Vaccination Court that awards people money if they can prove their child was injured by a vaccination. Something like 95 autism cases, but the government is really hard to convince. Most of those were due to the underlying metabolic condition called mitochondrial disease. Don't see a lot of that. Flu payout is big bucks - I personally stay away from that fucker. The pharmaceutical companies asked for protection and implied they couldn't make vaccines anymore if sued, so we now have the government running the court. Oh yeah, it's one guy who decides.
4) There are actually quite a few studies (15?)suggesting the link, but they are always dismissed for some really lame reason. The doctors that produced the results are all respectable.
Those are pretty much the main reasons, but please ask me about others if interested.
I do not believe vaccines caused my son's autism. If they did, their contribution was small. Realizing now that shit was going to happen regardless. Kind of a perfect storm.
The diagram below is a great way to show everything involved with autism. This was taken from a parent's site so it is not medically endorsed, just his way to explain. A lot of shit needs to be fucked up.
