Mind you, this is only January statistics...
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - So far, 2017 has not proved to be a fresh start for Baltimore.
January saw a big spike in violence and crime almost across the board.
"We know January is always one of our historically bad months, but this is one of the worst ever, and it's unacceptable," says City Councilman Brandon Scott.
Looking at Baltimore citywide crime data, year to date from Jan. 1 to Jan. 28, shootings are up 110 percent in Baltimore, with 88 this year compared to 42 last year.
Carjackings are up 107 percent. There were 56 carjackings up from 27 in January 2016.
Robberies are increasing as well. There were 365 last year and 480 this year.
And there were 606 burglaries in Baltimore this January, up from 496 last year.

Baltimore must have been unusually warm this January.
Certain minorities don't go out in the cold much, so that's the only thing I could extrapolate from that data.

Think of it this way, criminals are becoming more enterprising. They know the 1st Quarter can be a tough one. :thumb:

I don't think we had even one full day with snow cover so far this year.

We're at half the population now. @650,000 compared to 1.2M in '81.

Seriously, has anyone read this graph?

Hint: one of these lines is not like the other.

If someone needs help with reading fundamentals, I can give you the Chizzy bulk discount. Customers in the dal area code are not eligible.

Maybe the B'More residents should start applying for sanctuary from the violence in other cities. They can form a long refugee line, cross the state border, and stream into Washington, DC on their way to San Francisco.

Hell, send them to NYC through Philly, Camden, and Trenton.

No homicides yet this year on the mean, unpoliced, streets of Makanda. At least not on the occasions I've gone into town..

Love the part at 1:30, where the guy was about to say something...and then said, "people."

Guy who was shot was just released from jail on another charge the day before, and had been arrested 2 other times in the last month while possessing a firearm.

Cue TrippingDowntheLane to come on here and tell us how this Democrat was being beaten down by immoral Republicans.
