We also lost the real Donk shills like TwinTownBisonFan. UNHWildcats isn't really missed, but we were robbed by not getting to see dback OR UNH meltdown.

One of the Albany fans also. I get them confused. One was fairly moderate, the other was a pretty reliable Donk.

And, there were some good ones on AGS that never migrated. Paward treated me to one of the best BBQ spreads I've ever seen at an App - Georgia Southern game probably around 5 years ago. I think he's the only poster on here or AGS I've met.

Realizing Obama was the greatest gift to Republicans is hard to take. Going from talk of "the end of Conservatism" and owning the House, Senate and Presidency to getting it flipping, losing over 1,000 national seats and getting Trump elected is an amazing accomplishment for just one man.

I'm still occasionally lurking; I've always leaned left (and have lived in the DMV my whole life) but I'm certainly leaning even more to the left since the election. This election has also confirmed what I've suspected: the GOP is morally bankrupt and they really don't care about the Constitution nor the rights of people.

I've also done a lot of self-reflection since Trump's surprising election and I've realized that debating on this forum, among others, is generally a waste of time. In the last few months, I've joined the DNC and have been registering people to vote for the 2018 election as well assisting in letter-writing campaigns and the organization of protests.

Additionally, I've been helping my family transform our rental home so that it can comfortably house three refugee families (rent-free) of up to six people each. So far, all the neighbors, inspectors, permitting reviewers, and local gov't officials have been incredibly supportive. I myself have been housing immigration layers from the east coast that have traveled to help refugees pro-bono affected by Trump's EO.

Ultimately, I've learned there's a TON of good people in this country that believe in the values this nation is built on. And that Trump's election has awoken a politically apathetic generation that will hopefully be a force of good for decades to come.

Anyways, maybe see you all in a few months.

Most of the people on this forum didn't vote for Trump, but hardly any voted for Hillary. The choice between a douche and a bag.
