Ok. Am I correct in thinking that Cohen's public testimony was before the House Oversight Committee and not the House Intelligence Committee?

I heard some news about the meetings with Intelligence Committee Staff on the radio and wondered at the time what the big deal was.

And I go back to why Cohen is a "proven liar:" He is a "proven liar" because he lied about Trump trying to get a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow under circumstances where Trump had been claiming that he had nothing going on with respect to Russia.

Whether or not I find him credible isn't relevant, he's at least as big a liar as trump - what is relevant is the signature on the checks that he wrote to keep the porno stars quiet during his campaign. Or the fact that the reason Mueller is involved is because Moscow Don went on national TV and told Lester Holt that he fired Comey because "this Russia thing is a made up story".

But since you asked, and I've been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there's something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don't think we should go down that path, because it divides the country.

Pelosi is savvy enough to wait until everything comes to light before going down a road such as impeachment. It's not enough that he can be impeached in the House. They have to make sure the Senate is on board to convict.

She's waiting for the results to come back. I think she should've worded that statement better but as of right now, when so many freshman lawmakers who ran on impeaching Trump and calling for it, she's playing to the media and showing the newbies who is in control.

Naw, the fact that Schiff is walking back impeachment is a good indicator that there is no there there regarding Trump Russia collusion. Schiff is on the intel committee so he would have a good idea on "inside info" that is leaked to him...I mean, he has yet to be wrong, amiright?
