Whoa there! Wait a second! I thought liberals were supposed to be the whiney bitches?AZGrizFan wrote:Yeah. When he needs to go hat in hand to the federal government suddenly it's "I'm sure we'll work together effectively"....what a fucking douche.
I'm sure AZ is just laughing like the rest of us (you included I'm sure) how funny the hypocrisy is when the shoe is on the other foot. That's all.kalm wrote:Whoa there! Wait a second! Brown has as much of an obligation to denounce and fight federal policies he disagrees with as he does to take advantage of already existing federal disaster relief. You know...the same kind of relief that conk governors went hat in hand to Obama for when a few trailer parks were blown down?
You just made JSO look non-partisan and reasonable while providing SH affirmation. Good job!
I sincerely hope that's the case.Baldy wrote:I'm sure AZ is just laughing like the rest of us (you included I'm sure) how funny the hypocrisy is when the shoe is on the other foot. That's all.kalm wrote:

The whole marijuana thing drives me crazy. I just don't understand conservatives being so uptight about it. I used to think it was religious belief driving it but I don't anymore. I think it's just inertia. And Reefer Madness. Which is what this isChizzang wrote:It's been interesting for Washington State... we have both (R) and (D) positions up high
Gov. Jay Inslee (D) and State Treasurer Duane Davidson (R)
have danced the delicate mating dance with the Federal Government
Washington State does some things that frustrate the Federal Government (See: Legal Marijuana)
IT's good that we have both parties in-state working to keep things moving with little rhetoric and posturing

You've been here long enough to know better than that...kalm wrote:Whoa there! Wait a second! I thought liberals were supposed to be the whiney bitches?AZGrizFan wrote:Yeah. Conservatives tend to fear the unknown, its a big part of what makes them conservative. If you're under a certain age you wouldn't remember just how badly the hippies seriously frightened "normal folk" back in the day. I was in junior high about an hour and a half away from SF and the whole attraction of that movement to me was solely due to the way they jangled the nerves of the old people. A whole different feeling than the "that isn't music" outrage that the Beatles sparked among them when they first played the Ed Sullivan Show. And of course the hippies couldn't pass on the opportunity to reinforce all the worst things going through the establishment heads. At one point they were putting out the rumor that they got high smoking banana peels and were taken seriously.CID1990 wrote:The whole marijuana thing drives me crazy. That's a common theory but keep in mind that I am conservative myself and my own anecdotal experience leans more towards simple inertia rather than fear of change.houndawg wrote:Conservatives tend to fear the unknown, its a big part of what makes them conservative.
