White House adviser asked FBI to dispute Russia reports
White House chief of staff Reince Priebus asked a top FBI official to dispute media reports that President Donald Trump’s campaign advisers were frequently in touch with Russian intelligence agents during the election, a White House official says.

The official said that Priebus’ request came after the FBI told the White House it believed a New York Times report last week describing those contacts was not accurate. As of Thursday, the FBI had not stated that position publicly and there was no indication it planned to.

Priebus’ discussion with FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe . . .
All-Aboard the Trumptanic, Righties !!

Nice. Another Hitler comparison. Those are really effective, Mr. Godwin.

So to summarize your article: FBI realizes NYT published yet another liberally-slanted bogus story to try to discredit Republicans. Priebus asks them to make that sentiment public.

The horror!

Yeah, odd one here. Trump and his team have done a ton of questionable to just flat out bad things so far, but it's sometimes hard to see that in the cacophony of liberal outrage over every breath they take. In this case, the FBI and the White House know that the NYT published something that was factually incorrect, and probably did so knowingly because it fits a narrative they want to tell, true or not. And the outrage isn't that the newspaper knowingly printed something that was false, the outrage is that the White House wanted the FBI to make their findings public. And according to friends on Twitter and Facebook, they believe this rises to the level of an impeachable offense on Trump's part. Maybe stepping back and being selective of what is an impeachable offense (they aren't anywhere as numerous as we're being led to believe) might give a little more traction to the things that really are worthy of such outrage and condemnation.

Wait a minute, I thought the FBI was full of hacks who wanted to hurt Democrats and help Trump?

Your brain synapses are misfiring --- simple facts and the irony associated with this developing imbroglio escape you. Let me help:

Trump's Chief of Staff asks the Deputy Director of the FBI to anonymously leak information to the press, knowing it is false. Herr Trump then begins criticizing the leaks as Fake News and a danger to NATIONAL SECURITY.

It really is amazing you Deplorables think America will put up with this bullsheet.

Sad.

That's a really big swing and a miss, Director Comey.
