Funny thing is, Obama should have fired him when he came up with that bogus "No intention" ruling on Hillary and the classified emails...

But since that's the outcome Obama wanted, he left Comey dangling so the next President could do the dirty deed...

Of course, Trump winning the election was not the expected outcome...

I wrote during the election, in response to someone who opined that Clinton was the most corrupt Presidential candidate ever, that she couldn't be because she was running against someone who is more corrupt than she is. I still think that. And I think this action is a manifestation of that reality.

Funny, talking heads yesterday and today we're saying how unlikely it'd be to see Comey fired. How long before we start hearing about an indictment of HRC?

No, they're going to say that they had problems with the way Comey handled things but that the reason for this firing is obvious and that it's going to create a situation where whoever comes in to replace Comey will be coming in knowing that if he or she tries to objectively investigate questions about the Trump campaign they're going to get fired too.

We all know Comey wasn't fired because Trump is upset over him holding that press conference about Clinton in July or because of him sending that letter to Congress in October.

I don't think so. I think what he did was go back on something he said during the campaign. I think that during the campaign he said he was going to instruct the DOJ to go after her then after he won he said he wouldn't. I don't think he instructed them to stop any investigations they already had ongoing.

What we have to hope is that at some point Republicans in Congress come to grips with the fact that we've got a real lemon here and put Country before Party. Congress as an institution can check this guy. But we've got to reach a point where Republicans in Congress realize that for the good of the Country they've got to do it.

Trump waited way too long, this incompetent fool should have been replaced day1.

I like comey too but their is a political side to any job at that level and he failed miserably. First Hilary shouldn't be prosecuted because of lack of intent when intent had nothing to do with the crime and then too reopen the Hillary investigation two weeks before the election and one week later to say there is nothing there. As much As I hate to take the Hillary point of view but wtf

The immediate goal is to make sure the investigation isn't finished before the '18 election.
