NJ has off-year gubernatorial elections, so the race to succeed the Big Donut happens this year. The Democratic primary is shaping up to be hilarious. Phil Murphy, one of the candidates, is being skewered by the other Goodfellas because he used to work for .... Goldman Sachs!

Flaggy, do you know any of those pasta fazools?

They are using the hell out of Bernie Sanders in those ads. Hopefully Bernie is getting a cut. It wouldn't be fair not to redistribute the wealth.

I haven't been following it and normally wouldn't until after the primaries. But since you brought it up, I'll take a peek.

Virginia has the other off-year Governor race - in this case replacing Bill and Hilary's biggest supporter, Terry McAuliffe. The hilarity's all on the GOP side, with the guy Trump fired from his VA campaign, Corey Stewart, pulling out all the racist stops to win the alt-right vote:

In Virginia:

Northam beat Perriello comfortably for Democrat nomination.

Corey Stewart surprisingly neck-and-neck with Ed Gillespie. Stewart's faux-Confederacy campaign seems to be working.
