Congressman Steve King told The Iowa Republican tonight that the D.C. Property Tax office has admitted that they made the error that allowed King to receive a homestead tax credit for his property in D.C. The tax office has sent Congressman King a letter clearing him from any wrong doing and admitted their own mistake.

Congressman King also told The Iowa Republican that he was the one who contacted the D.C. officials regarding the error on Monday and requested that the correction be made. When King was asked by the media on Tuesday, he told them he believed the D.C. tax office had made a mistake. Finally, on Thursday the D.C. office confirmed it indeed was a mistake on their end.
