Ryan makes his move

Did anybody notice how deftly Ryan knifed Trump in the back yesterday? Essentially said that Trump didn't mean to obstruct justice, he's just new to the game.

Now if he can get Pence out of the way.....

I saw some on the news saying that this was sort of a silly excuse he was making and I actually saw it more like you did. He was sort of treating Trump like a child that needed guidance.

Which is correct btw.

That's a bit insulting to most children don't you think?

Actually, I think Ryan is right.

Trump is like a guy leading police on a high-speed chase because he's got an expired tag.

While tweeting that his tags are up-to-date.

Not the first time though. He's had Trump's balls in his mouth a couple of times now.

Other than that last clunker this is a pretty funny thread.

Except the idea that Trump doesn't know what he's doing would be frowned upon if people know about it is nonsense. He knew talking to Comey about Flynn was not kosher. That's why he asked the others to leave. He's just a slime ball.

This thing of trying to write his awful behavior off to not being a politician is a bunch of crap.

He says he'll talk under oath. No way he'll do that

I dunno. He may. He may figure that nobody can prove he's lying. I mean, this is a guy who said during a nationally televised interview that the NFL wrote him a letter expressing concern over the election debate schedule when all it took to show he was lying was for the NFL to say, "No we didn't."

You are talking about a pathological liar here.

Maybe he will go under oath. You still won't be able to believe a word he says and I bet the conks won't be as quick to suck him off as they are now. He could take them down with him if things go right

Wait... WHAT!!!
Trump will speak under oath..?

He lies every 3rd sentence
That is a bad idea and his handlers should really already know that

His handlers do know that and they have an excuse for why he won't speak ready to go. The question is will Trump believe his own blather, override his handlers and speak anyway?

I don't understand why Donks are in such a hurry to bury Trump on every little thing. Just keep up the pressure and give him enough rope and he'll eventually hang himself. It's just a matter of time. They can stop pandering to their core, take the high road, win over some middle-of-the-road voters and still get what they want.

I've said it a dozen times:
Trump doesn't make me nearly as nervous as Pence
Trump is a pompous bumbling loud talking buffoon child

Pence is a calculating true believer...

Oh good lord

Tell me Clitz

Which part of the Bronze Age would we go back to?

What would go back in the box? Gay marriage? Abortion?

You sound like what you accuse AZ and BDK of - when they talk about persecuted white guys

I don't know, I kind of agree with Pudenzzang. Trump scares me because he's a narcissistic buffoon who might start a war over something stupid but there are checks and balances in place that make that extremely unlikely. Pence scares me in way very similar to how Hillary scared me. They're more devious and calculating and their influence would be more insidious and harder to stop.

And if frogs had wings, they wouldn't land on their azzes when they hopped. When will Donks ever take the high road and stop pandering to their core? That's Fantasyland.

Really, UNI88, I'm disappointed in you.

We could only hope some Congressman or woman has the guts to call him out.

If I were Marc Kasowitz, I'd be drinking heavily right now. It would be impossible to prepare Donald Trump for a deposition.

I once had a client like that: a chatterbox who was compelled to tell his own story every chance he got. I told him in depo prep to STFU, to answer questions as concisely as possible, and we'd get the hell out of Dodge and live to fight another day. Needless to say, his depo was a disaster. Somehow, we managed to settle the case midway through trial. My guy was a blabbermouth, but the judge correctly perceived him as an honest blabbermouth. In Trump's case, he doesn't have that asset.

Trump just isn't interested in anything that doesn't profit him personally, he's content to follow Putin's instructions and get hisself a nice little piece of the Exxon/Gazprom deal. :coffee: Let his kids run the nation.

Sorry IT, I may be old but I haven't completely lost my idealism.
kalm wrote:It's a shrinking core at that.
Is it shrinking? Or is it growing because too many people just tune in to news/info sources that match their opinions and they don't have an opportunity to learn new things that might change their perspective?
