Well I FEEL a hundred and eight....so if that means anything then yes, I've prequalified...

I generally enjoy John Stossel's stuff. But he attacks spending on NOAA and appears to suggest that we're wasting money on that agency. If there is an agency that does provide lots of critical work, it's NOAA. The weather stuff is obvious. But they have also done things like do an excellent job of managing fisheries.

Do I agree with everything they do in terms of fisheries management? No. Is it perfect? No. But I assure you we are in a lot better place fisheries wise than we would be if NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service didn't exist.

NOAA is a bargain.

And it's like that with a lot of Federal agencies. Discretionary spending on agencies like NOAA, EPA, DOA, and DHHS aren't the problem when it comes to budget issues. All that stuff is less than 10% of the Federal budget. The Entitlement Programs are the problem and Trump doesn't want to grapple with those.
