God Does Not Want You To Fly Coach!

Churches do not need tax exempt status. God is giving providing them with Gulfstreams!
The Lord apparently opened with, “Jesse, do you like your plane?”
Although the conversation sounded suspiciously like Duplantis talking to himself, Ken Copeland chimed in, saying, “You couldn’t have done that on an airline,” and that “Private jets are sanctuary that protect the anointed.”
Copeland went on to say that commercial airline travel was impossible for preachers in a “dope filled world” and that riding coach was like “getting in a long tube with a bunch of demons.”
Other preachers, such as Pastor Creflo Dollar, have allegedly been told by God to buy private planes. Creflo was able to raise $70 million for a Gulfstream Jet to fulfill the mysterious will of the Lord.

A true man or woman of the lord would want to fly coach so that he or she would have an opportunity to save the souls of these "demons."

This is why believers need to support their local churches instead of the TV evangelists. They do not need their own private aircraft.
The position of stature they acquire has corrupted them even though most started out sincerely.

God has given a lot of weird instructions over the last 6000 years the world has been in existence.
he used to tell dudes to kill their firstborn
Now he just tells them to get a jet
Seems to me he's getting soft

Joey,
Power does not change ones character it simply reveals it
You'll want to write that down so we don't have to go over this again
And secondly
Stupid people (In this case the Televangelist congregation) deserve to have their money stolen

Not to change the subject and I don't disagree but-
^^^^ exactly that right there is how I have heard west Africans justify their culture of corruption, taking from other tribal groups, and the entire (billion dollar) scam industry
I'll bet many if not all of those televangelists, deep down, think exactly the same way

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Joey,
Power does not change ones character it simply reveals it

Flawed logic ^
It doesn't hold up to further scrutiny
True its catchy and feels good - it actually feels better than "Power reveals character, it doesn't shape it"
However:
Just ponder all the examples both large and small where people have had power or presently do have power
and do not abuse others with their power
Being powerful or all powerful or more powerful than some
isn't the problem...
If it was that simple it would be that simple and be irrefutable (period)
I repeat: Power exposes character it doesn't corrupt ones character

I was going to ask why it couldn't be a little of both. That those of strong character are able to resist corruption but those of weak character aren't. The problem with that argument is that it actually supports Chizzy's statement.

Correct...
It's a worthy debate from either side
but it's only absolutely winnable from one position

You're preaching to the choir at this point.
I do find it interesting that it's true at every level from the Presidency down to local volunteer boards. I've served on a number of boards over the years including the local youth football/cheer/lacrosse organization and it's amazing how quickly power goes to some people's heads. And the arguments they use to rationalize their decisions/actions can be either comical or downright scary depending on your perspective.

After pondering this for awhile, I do think Chizzy has a point in this. However, I must state most ministers and pastors of local churches are not corrupt greedy individuals and I have known quite a few.

Hmm mm,
I guess that depends on which "god" you are referencing?
As flawed as the western church is I don't remember reading that part in their bible?

The Bible doesn't tell us that the earth is less than 10,000 years old?
It doesn't tell us that Abraham was told to sacrifice his first born?
Just because Osteen hasn't written the Book of Joel yet doesn't mean god didn't tell him to get a gulfstream

The Creator did "test" the one we call Abraham about killing his son, but he states clearly in the scriptures that sacrificing their children is something that never crossed his mind.
I thought you were referencing the sacrifices to the Pagan gods, my bad.
.
That was funny about the book of "joel"

.
True ... The western pastors all have a god of their own imagination, so Joel might be hearing voices from his imagination telling him to buy a Lear jet.

I saw my former pastor in OCNJ this weekend. He was filling in for a sick priest. He told me he took a bus to AC and got picked up to get to Ocean City(20 drive).
Televangelists make me sick.
